CHUD was technically a "limited edition" so they might just be slow getting the standard one out there.

looks like the same exact transfer really with the Indicator having either better compression or less DNR or perhaps simply just a trace more sharpening, anyway it doesn't seem as radically different as expected, much less different than say the old Princess Bride vs. the new remaster where the change was super obvious in both details and color, now the indicator does show a hint more grain and texture, but is it real or just a trace of careful sharpening applied or better compression?
The Indicator replacement is a big improvement over the old master Indicator originally used. The Twilight Time already used the newer master though, so those are roughly the same with Indicator just having a bit better compression (and extras/packaging). Indicator's disc of 7th Voyage however is a new 4k remaster compared to the old U.S. disc.

You want it. It's director Jack Hill's long-awaited director's cut, and it looks incredible. You're also in love with those twins, and you love crude early-'80s special effects, especially when accompanied by cheap laser sounds.

I think Adaptation might be out of print. It’s going for highish prices on Amazon, and I saw no listing at Best Buy, Second Spin, bull moose, or Deep Discount.

I wouldn’t be so sure... The price of this skyrocketed a year or two ago and I bought it on eBay, but it has stayed in print.

Other than a handful of used copies on Amazon and at Secondspin I can't even find a listing for this title anywhere else. This one could in fact be on it's way out.

Sadly, you’re right. It doesn’t appear to be a false alarm this time.

Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron is getting some crazy prices from exclusive third party Amazon sellers.

I already have the Road but for those of you just looking for the movie itself, it's $5.99 on amazon.ca right now. It has a bilingual spine but the cover itself is primarily English outside of a very small (La Route). Amazon has the studio as "The Weinstein Company", which might explain why we're not getting anymore copies at the moment. We'll see if they end up restocking some of their titles or licensing them out moving forward. Should also note the listing says "Only 5 left in stock (more on the way)".

Great movie by the way. I watched it having no idea what it was about. It was just one of those flipping around on Netflix or TV or somewhere and started watching it. Really enjoyed it.

Not OOP. It's $7.99 on Amazon.

You are looking at an older edition. Blu-ray+DVD combo pack replaced by Blu-ray+Digital. The price shown on Amazon is likely meaningless (i.e. nobody is "getting" crazy prices for that older edition)

I'm tempted to upgrade for picture quality... there are parts of the DVD version where I don't even know what I'm looking at.

The Road has only been available from resellers on Amazon for months now. I know because it is on my wishlist and I kept seeing that and thinking "you should really get that in case it's OOP." Luckily I just bought it a few weeks ago from Bullmoose for like $5.

I guess Sony doesn't give a crap since it wasn't a big moneymaker.

There is a BD of The Road (Canadian) for sale through Walmart for $12.05, but I don't know if it's new. The Road.

If anyone wants The Road now, Bullmoose still has a few copies in stock.

It could have just gone out of stock and the production issues lately are making it take a while to re-stock. Who knows. Those production issues are playing hell with this thread a bit.

I'm wondering if the Severin title of The Inglorious Bastards is OOP. I bought a copy in November off eBay and at the time it wasn't listed on the Severin website. And it still isn't.

Ah so it's only the 7th Voyage disc where there is the big difference. Well, as sacrilegious as this may be to say, it's actually the more recent sequels that I prefer so I'm plenty good with my Twilights for the more recent two and old blu-ray for the 7th (sure ain't paying $400 for a better version of 7th, not even sure I'd double dip even at a much more regular price).
