yep, the ones Erzengel listed. if it's something that's taxable, then you should've gotten some type of tax form for it (w2, 1098, 1099, etc.)

Also any interest earned from such things as bank accounts (1099-INT), miscellaneous income (1099-MISC), dividends and/or capital gains on investments (1099-DIV/1099-B). If you have a mortgage, documents such as 1098 forms which show interest and/or PMI paid plus any property taxes and insurance premiums paid. If you have student loans you should have a 1098-E showing any interest paid and if you paid for tuition last year you should have a 1098-T.

Maybe.
I suppose but there are other great stuff out there to listen too so I don't feel bad about listening to that.

Hahaha I love that! Hope you guys bought him a beater. Not only would it be cheaper to insure but could teach him more responsibility on keeping it properly maintained, plus I would never recommend anyone get a shiny new car for their first.

My daughter once told me she wanted a '68 Mustang GT when she turned 16 (like the one Steve McQueen had in Bullit), I couldn't help but laugh and say "sweetie you're gonna get a 20 year old Focus and be happy." She never questioned me on it, trust me if I could afford such a car it wouldn't be for her first. Before she moved across the country to be with her mom I actually had serious thoughts about "rescuing" a junker for the sole purpose of rebuilding it with her-teaching her everything along the way. Would've been a great project and knowing she had built it herself would hopefully mean she'd actually take good care of it for years to come.

These guys pretty much answered your question but honestly whatever you gave your accountant friend when (s)he did them for you in the past should suffice. If you don't have any investments, you could likely do your own federal taxes yourself with only your W2. Instructions are pretty straight forward if you only take the standard deduction. State taxes may be a little more difficult presuming you live in NJ but work in NY(given your profile location).

Does the PS3 still get updates? I've not used mine in about 2 years and hope to remedy that this year.

Thanks guys. My returns have always been simple: no deductions other than the standard ones, I don't have a mortgage, investments - none of that. It's just that when I was told I needed to "bring all my documents" after filing simple for so many years I panicked a bit. My SS card, State ID and copy of last year's return should suffice then.

I've been using my brother's for the last few years or so now, and I think it just updated awhile back.

I'm thinking about changing the time on my clocks, watches, microwave, stove, fridge, radios, TVs, ...tough job this early Spring ... late Winter.

Has anyone ever tried 'milk Coke?'

It's the latest internet trend and I vaguely remember doing this when I was a kid.

No but I have had vanilla ice cream with Coke poured on top and it was pretty good.

Also did the same thing but with Jack Daniels instead of Coke... never again.

Turns out I don't owe any taxes this year. Phew! what a relief. I was afraid that with Trump's income tax cut last year I would end up underpaying like some people. Buddy of mine has to pay back $1,600 - $1,000 more than what he usually pays And my taxes were done and filed for free!

Did he make adjustments to his W4 last year? Remember that the IRS also required employers to adjust withholdings based on the lower tax rates so, in effect people took home more money with each paycheck.
