This week i watch two titles in 3D.

Last night, i watched Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in 3D, and i thought the 3D didn't disappoint, from start to finish the 3D was very well made with 3D in mind, demoworthy 3D disc for sure IMO, there is separation between the foreground and the background, some fun pop-outs which is nice, the 3D was always there even in some scenes where it was not well lit, shame that the frame breaking effect was not left intact on the movie's home video release though.

Tonight, i watched Ant-Man and the Wasp in 3D, and i thought the 3D is fantastic, some fantastic depth, the separation and volume was there making this 3D eye candy, anytime a IMAX sequence would come on it looked fantastic in full screen, the finale has IMO some of the 3D in a Marvel movie, and i also noticed the after scene was presented in 3D as a added nice bonus, the 3D really didn't disappoint in this movie and this is a movie i would definitely watch again in 3D.

Hi everyone!

Recently watched Captain Marvel on IMAX 3D. Loved the 3D but hated the movie ^^

My last 3D Blu-rays!

Sweet 3D additions! Salazar's revenge really surprised with its great 3D.

I really enjoyed this movie and of course glad to have it in 3D. The 3D had a nice sense of depth but will admit it lacked ingenuity so there was little in terms of 3D "movement" or judding out of the screen. But despite those drawbacks, this would not prevent me from recommending it to any fan of 3D.

Had a minor issue with the occasional subtitle. For example, the city and year would be in French instead of English. Also, if there was a police sign or newspaper headline, a French translation would appear.

Again, was really into this film and the 3D did add to the enjoyment.
That's brave, giving Transcendence a recommendation for the 3D lol.

Hi levcore,

Nah, "Brave" was a different disc.

But didn't give 3D high marks. Said it had a nice sense of depth but lacked ingenuity and little in terms of 3D "movement" or judding out of the screen.

That's why I was careful to add "despite those drawbacks" to my recommendation.

I love the movie also and it has great 3D!
When I saw it on IMAX 3D, in the dark scenes you could barely see what was happening, but here at home was a total blast (Watched last night).

Just taking a break while watching Mojin, The Lost Empire. Great 3D and funny with good action.

Can you dig this? It's an Asian film partly filmed in New York City. But in the USA, the 3D version with English subtitles is only available through Germany with use of a region free player.

Only in America!

To follow up on Mojin. This is why I LOVE 3D! It was so exhilarating to watch. Those who only saw it flat have no idea how it makes one feel they are actually inside the caverns with the characters.

And seeing the multiple Imax aspect ratios was not only an unexpected surprise but a real treat as well, opening up the immersement even more.

Another reason why I'm glad you guys knocked some sense into me regarding a region free player.

I preordered Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 3D from Amazon Japan as well.

Can't wait to see it in 3D finally.

It was filmed while Johnny Depp lived in France

Wrong.

Johnny Depp's new movie Transcendence filmed mostly on location in New Mexico, with limited shooting taking place in California.

Hi Josh,

One could tell the outdoor scenes were definitely not France.

Earlier this week Vikingdom arrived at my mailbox. Today, Nut Job 2 arrived.

I should’ve also had The Crimes of Grindelwald, but Best Buy kind of screwed me out of it.

Best buy, it's like they go out of their way to lose sales...

Just watched Star Trek Into Darkness. Forgot how good a film it was and great 3D as well. Think I saw it at the IMAX when it first came out so couldn’t remember most of it which was good. May have to try Star Trek Beyond tonight.

Popped in Jurassic World for a few scenes: fun!
Popped in HTTYD 1 for a few scenes: nothing crazy but easily adds to the engrossment in the film
* basically wanted to ensure discs played well

Bought:
Spider-Man: Homecoming 3D (Best Buy Steelbook) EBay
Iron Man 3 3D EBay
Pacific Rim 3D EBay
* the wife has now asked that I slow down the purchases (I have bought 23 3D movies in the last 3 weeks).
* just a few more Marvels to go!
