Every movie is overpriced.

It's only worth it to the buyer if he/she feels it was worth the price they paid.

Good point. I purchase the boxset on the week of release and I have no regrets. I had been holding off on watching my DVd versions waiting for the Blu-ray release. I was not disappointed with my purchase. Ditto for the Bourne Trilogy set.

think of what the 10 disk set was that came with that action figure I think it was like 100-110 so 50-80 is a good deal

I just think CERTAIN movies that come out for Blu-ray are overpriced. Perfect example was when Robocop first came out. $34.99?

I think the best deal ever was when Band of Brothers came out on BR. I remember when it came out on DVD it was $119 and stayed $99 for years up until last year. Then when the BR version came out you can get it for $59.99 and still can.

and it wasn't even a great transfer! and didn't include ANY special features. so much $$ for a bare bones release imo.

I think I will probably skip this release on BD, will just keep the DVD, not watching enought time to make it worth the price

I love these Matrix movies. And I can't wait to see them on beautiful BD. But I just say no to stupid prices.

There are just way too many good BD titles that are under $12-$13 constantly on sale somewhere....to pay $20-$30 per disc for a film. I'm perfectly content to sit on the sidelines until I see this stuff on sale...this year or two years from now.

yeah, it's pretty overpriced atm. I got mine as a freebie when I bought a samsung 1500 for $200 (sold the samsung straight off to a friend for the same price I paid for it and kept the Matrix for free )

I think anything higher than 60 dollars is to much, considering I would only be buying 2 and 3 to complete the collection...

If you're not into Animatrix and the extras, there is no way it's worth $74.99. That's why I haven't purchased it yet. All I care about are the three films. I'll be picking up The Matrix in March. Not desperate for the second and third film, although they aren't as bad as people give them hell for.

I was going to hold off until it got cheaper, but back in November I bought it when Deep Discount had their 25% off sale and got it for something like $55 (give or take a few bucks.. I don't recall the exact amount).

If you don't find a better price sooner and can wait, you may want to wait until June or July. Usually around that time, DD has this kind of sale again. They do them twice a year. (usually these sales are for 20% off.... this past November was the first time it was for more, so I can't say for sure what the % will be come this summer).

both borders and barnes and noble sell movies for MSRP, that's why their prices are generally higher.

Go in Circuit City.. They are having big clearance sales.. I just got it for 65.99 at 40% off, and if it stays in stores until it goes to 50% that's gonna be even better...
