I believe they ship to Canada. Some titles they might not be able to if they don't have the rights. They used to do free shipping if you hit a threshold of $150 I believe. A Canadian forum member can correct me on this.

The last time I ordered during a sale, I picked up 6 titles and shipping was $18.25 USD. Shipping was fast and fully tracked though and I had no issues with Customs, though I have been dinged at least once by Customs in the past. In crunching the numbers though, even with exchange rate and shipping, it still worked out to less per title than what I'd pay for at Amazon Canada and definitely far less than what I'd pay for them at Sunrise Records. The amount of titles that don't ship to Canada is really quite minimal. I think Loophole is the only one I've ever tried to order that didn't ship to Canada, though I know there are a few others. |

Now the question was in reference to the Universal deal, so I'm going to the presume that the Insider is not referring to The Whistle Blower here - which appears to be part of the MGM deal - or even The Last Valley (I'm guessing the 'maybe, more to come' could be referring to these). We know that Gambit and The Ipcress File are with Universal. This statement might well suggest that Kino have both. I think Sweet Liberty is possible also.
BarnDoor: Back on 1/16, pg. 1357 of this forum, you received the response below from KL Insider to the question you asked: "KL Insider - are there any crime/cop films among the unannounced 60s and 70s Universal titles? There's a few I'm hoping for. A few thrillers and a couple of espionage titles. And at least 3 crime/cop movies, maybe more. And a few in our Studio Canal deal. " There are no "espionage" titles in the complete list of 70s titles released/announced. IMO, that means at least 2 of the remaining 4 60s titles will be "espionage" titles. My hope is that 1 of those is Ipcress. My guess for the 2nd one is Blindfold. |

He struggles to control his insatiable thirst for blood until a love affair unleashes his darkest desires in deadly new ways. Daring and operatic, Thirst is a truly wicked love story that takes classic vampire lore to twisted new heights. “A MAD LOVE STORY! Harris • Madness… It's Beautiful - Featurette • They Might Be Giants is presented in a special expanded version, featuring additional footage not seen in the original theatrical release. • Theatrical Trailer Color 91 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated G Wealthy, retired judge Justin Playfair (George C. Scott, The Day of the Dolphin, The Hustler) has a most peculiar eccentricity: he believes he is Sherlock Holmes. To be honest, I've lost track. Pretty sure three 1950s is correct, six or seven 1960s, two 1970s seems correct, three or four 1980s and one 2000s. No more 1990s films. |
