It was one of those titles that was co-released or co-financed by both MGM and Sony. Casino Royale is another one. They were first released on blu-ray by Sony, then re-released by MGM.

Thank you. Would Kino Lorber also be interested in releasing Ang Lee's "Lust, Caution" on Blu-ray? (Also from Universal/Focus Features.)

The Ultimate Weapon is about to be Unleashed! What begins as a routine investigation quickly escalates into a heart-stopping race to save millions from certain death in this taut and gripping thriller from the creator of Westworld, Coma and Jurassic Park. Michael Crichton (The Great Train Robbery, Looker, Runaway) makes an impressive directorial debut in this deadly cat-and-mouse game in which the stakes couldn’t get any higher. When government agent Steven Graves (Ben Gazzara, The Neptune Factor) investigates political extremist James Wright (E.G. What’s worse, a computer hacker (Martin Sheen, Loophole) has provided Wright with a psychological profile to help him outwit Graves. Can Graves find a way to stop Wright before the ultimate nightmare begins? Co-starring Joseph Wiseman (Dr. No) and William Windom (The Detective).

I like Michael Crichton's work, overall and look forward to this blu-ray. I also
like these movie-of-the-week films from the early 1970s. Keep 'em coming.

But how is it with MGM now? Isn't it Sony?
The rights are now with MGM. We do not have Capote.

Un Flic
An Inspector Calls
The Holly and the Ivy
The Queen of Spades
Brighton Rock
Buffet Froid
The Deadly Trap

Britannia Hospital
A Sunday in the Country (Un dimanche à la campagne)
Woman Times Seven

Worth bearing in mind that they might not all be released on Blu-ray, but the omens are probably good in the main, given that quite a few of these have Region B or even prior Region A releases. This likely means that Criterion have Le Trou, since the Kino Insider said they had one of that or Touchez Pas au Grisbi. And that's two Carol Reed titles now, which is probably our lot.
Yes, all of these are with KL and all will be released on DVD and Blu-ray. Most through the KLSC line, some through the Kino Classics brand.

If someone can post the complete list of the Kanopy confirmations and our confirmations, we may be able to confirm some other titles. We might as well go ahead and confirm them before Kanopy does.

We have over 130 to 140 titles, Kanopy will list the ones currently with HD masters, which is around 90 to 100 titles.

The Melvilles need commentaries and supplements. I understand he made TV talk show
appearances in France each time he had a new film and gave a lot of on-camera interviews
that haven't found their way onto home video yet.

I'm pretty sure we have posted them all by now, between this lot and the last batch (which you previously confirmed). There might be a couple I missed of course, and obviously they're constantly adding more.

A sinister thought just crossed my mind - I could lie and say Kanopy have added several SC Charles Bronson films I think you might have - Someone Behind the Door, Farewell Friend, Chino - in the hope that you wouldn't check and just confirm them for us. But obviously I'd never do anything so underhand...

Really nice to see a correct AR release of Money for Nothing. Never did watch the old blu because of the zooming.

The Criterion DVD got a lot of mileage under my roof when I bought it roughly 13 years ago, and I have been clamoring for a Blu-ray release on these shores forever.

If Kino pulls this off in 2019, then it will likely be an easy pick for my top 10 Blu-ray releases of the year list.

Awesome! One step closer to having all of Crichton's self-directed films on Blu-ray. I believe Runaway is the last one still waiting to be released.

If insider is still in a answering mood. After Marienbad any more Resnais? Any Costa-Gavras?
