4K UHD Blu-ray has all the same capabilities as standard Blu-ray.

There's a few branching 4K titles out there, like Independence Day.

Will it come out in summer or fall?

KL Insider stated in late January that it would be quite awhile before "Stick" would come out. They are looking to see what extras they can come up with before releasing it, including whether or not they can get ahold of Burt's director's cut or any other alternate versions of the movie. I am definitely fine with waiting and giving them the time to find extras, as I would love to see Burt's original cut of the film (if it is really around).

Coming June 18th!

Mississippi Burning (1988) with optional English subtitles
• Brand New 4K Restoration
• Audio Commentary by Director Alan Parker
• Theatrical Trailer

Color 127 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated R
Screen greats Gene Hackman (Unforgiven, The Package) and Willem Dafoe (Platoon, To Live and Die in L.A.) co-star in this masterpiece directed by legendary filmmaker Alan Parker (Midnight Express, Angel Heart). Mississippi Burning ranks as one of the most potent and insightful views of racial turmoil ever filmed. Nominated for six Oscars and winner of an Academy Award for Best Cinematography (Peter Biziou, The Truman Show), this emotionally charged film vividly captures a crucial chapter in American history. In Jessup County, 1964, as three civil rights activists drive down a desolate stretch of highway, headlights ominously draw near. Telling each other to stay calm, they have no way of knowing that in minutes they will disappear into the night and spark one of the most explosive murder investigations in history. Enter straight-laced Ward (Dafoe) and deceptively easy-going Anderson (Hackman). Can these two philosophically opposed FBI agents overcome their differences and uncover the chilling mystery of a small Ku Klux Klan-ridden community before it tears itself apart? The amazing cast includes Frances McDormand (Fargo), R. Lee Ermey (Full Metal Jacket), Brad Dourif (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) and Michael Rooker (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer).

I feel like even on blu-ray, seamless branching doesn't get used that much, possibly because it developed a reputation for being less than seamless in the DVD days, but I also think that in the case of things like "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" there are so many minor differences that it would probably get messed up like the seamless branching on the "Roddenberry Vault" Star Trek set.

Not possible, the theatrical cut has wipes and dissolves in place of cuts and there a few other differences.

Interesting that Kino Lorber is getting an OOP Twilight Time title now. I never purchased the TT disc so I will consider getting the KL version.

Kino have re-released plenty of OOP TT titles such as "Inherit the Wind", "Judgment at Nuremberg", "Brannigan", and "The Bounty".

I believe that this is the first time Kino's version has an updated transfer, though, right?

He is the star of Legend of Hell House too. That may be my favorite movie of his. Would love to see Lord Love a Duck though.

Kino Lorber Insider,

Understanding you can't comment on having these titles, are Winter Kills and Scott of the Antarctic StudioCanal titles in the US? Thanks.

He's previously confirmed Winter Kills is with SC in the US.

Unless something's changed it's almost certainly with Scorpion, given Walt liked my post suggesting it might be part of his MGM deal.

All of them are locked, because Kino doesn't want to have to deal with overseas customers regardless of licencing terms.
