Thanks in advance!
it's totally standalone

after having seen the first one, I too, couldn't bring myself to watch any of the others

i wasn't lost at all watching this and I loved it, a billion times better than the first one, a really nice movie just in general (maybe the very beginning is a little bit whatever, but beyond that it's great)

(this whole "heh" thing is reminding me of Mean Girls and fetch hah )

maybe because the 5th has nothing, in any way (other than for having a transformer in it), to do with any the prior ones?

this one has great acting from the lead, nice story, great atmospheric 80s setting, great soundtrack, so why not see it?

Also checked the iTunes streaming version and saw no audio sync issues.

Equipment is Panasonic 820 > Marantz 7702mkII > JVC RS540
I noticed sync issues after the opening on Cybertron, as soon as we get to John Cena dialogue it was out of sync during that whole scene with paint ball training. Did a quick reverse scan to get it back but it didn't work.

My equipment: Oppo 203 > Marantz SR6010 > Sony Z9D

It's the first time I have audio-sync issues with a disk. Do you guys think it's a defective disk? Would exchanging it make a difference?

The 5th is called The Last Knight and it has everything to do with the prior ones.

The Last Knight was the 5th movie.

I didn't mention Bumblebee.

My guess is it’s likely impacting all UHD discs and some just haven’t noticed. The first scene with Cena shows it pretty clearly. Are others seeing this as well?

I really enjoyed this movie. The picture is great, love the soundtrack and overall story. Like others I couldn't get into the other Transformers movies besides the first. It feels like a lot went into this.

If your player lets you force HDR10 over DV then try that to see if the audio sync problem goes away.

I'll give it a try once I remember how to make the Oppo 203 force HDR10.

Go into the settings menu, into the HDR options. Change it to Forced then power off the player. Once it's powered back up it should read DV discs as the HDR10 layer only. Why they couldn't just have a DV on/off toggle in the menu is mystifying, but there we are.

I noticed it, too. That kind of thing bothers me. Not that I wish it on others, but I'm glad it isn't just me. (LG c7, x800, Yamaha rv-567)

ok, whatever, but the person was talking about Bumblebee and whether you needed to see prior ones so that is what I was referring to

I went back into my Panasonic 820 settings and I've always had Dolby Vision output disabled. Since I'm running a JVC RS540 I'd never be able to take advantage of Dolby Vision anyway.

With that said I checked the disc again and the sync issue is still very much present. I've sent an email to Paramount Home Video to see if they have fielded any other reports of the issue.

I used the below contact address:

PHE_CustomerService@Paramount.com

I used that email address for a different issue with a different title. It took four weeks before I got a reply, but after six weeks total they had resolved my concern.

Does anyone know if the digital code can be redeemed directly on Vudu instead of Paramount website?
