Hellboy Animated Double Feature 4K UHD

I watched the first one on my BluRay tonight ... discovering that there's no special features. Or subtitles. ugh.
based on discussion and package photo here I probably want to hunt down the DVDs for all the features, but I'd also like to know if the included blu is the same as before or new.
Also, is the digital for VUDU only or multiple services?

Bull moose has the original DVDs used for $5 a pop, but the Feb 2019 re-release double for $7. anyone know if the new DVD has the features or not?

edit: I've looked at the 2019 double-DVD in a store and there's no mention of features on the back.

iTunes upgraded their print of Hellboy: Blood and Iron to boast widescreen picture and Atmos audio, but it still only has SD picture, and no bonus features. Sword of Storms (which iTunes carried in widesceeen even before this release) also pairs Atmos audio with SD video.

I don't have them to check but both are listed as 4K Vision/Atmos in the store. Only $6 a piece.

Doesn't seem so. Cheap Direct-to-Video animation just doesn't upscale to 4K with amazing results like we've seen before with the DC movies.

The old bluray doesn't have subtitles or any special features, whereas the 4k does. Video & audio seem like pretty minimal improvements though based off the site review.

Picked a copy up today at Best Buy. Price-matched Amazon at $15.00 (yep, $0.99), and had a $5 cert. After selling my original BD, I'll be happy with a new 4K disc including special features.

The source still seems like 720-ish material to me, inherently, and it's a minimalist cartoon style, but there are times when elements reveal a little more fine detail than they probably normally would (ie: sponge matting and cross hatching on certain sequences).

Occasional frames are inherently blurry and zoomed in with the way the actual animation was produced, but the HDR is actually kind of a nice addition to the darker scenes and some of the fire and lighting elements, here and there.

It's cheap and it's Hellboy. I hadnt seen them since DVD way back, and actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. First animation I've watched on the format.

I can see those logos when visiting iTunes on my computer, but not on my phone or on the Apple TV.

Yeah, I noticed they just say HD on iPad. Must be a glitch but surely they will be updated at some point.

I don't know if it's remastered (seeing as how it's a VC-1 encode, I'm guessing it's an old encode), but I can confirm no subtitles. Just the video track, a single audio track, and zero extras.

If you are referring to the 4K UltraHD+Blu-Ray+Digital4K Digital Copy Plus combo pack, there is only one way to get a 4K HDR iTunes Digital Copy of this movie through code redemption. That's to first buy a Universal, Paramount or Lionsgate combo pack that displays the "Watch on iTunes" logo and redeem that code first on iTunes and then redeem the code for Hellboy Animated Double Feature 4K on Lionsgate's Redeem Movie website. If you do not do this, then you will only get to choose between Vudu and FandangoNow. But if I were you, if you have to have the 4K UltraViolet version of this movie instead of the iTunes 4K HDR version, make sure you choose FandangoNow or you won't get a 4K UltraHD digital version because Vudu doesn't have the 4K version yet.

Keep in mind that Hellboy UHD in FandangoNow is NOT porting to Ultraviolet so you will never get any UV UHD rights for the Hellboy animated films and it will be 'locked' into whatever retailer you redeem it at. If you want Hellboy digitally on Vudu it may be worth holding on to your code (which is what I'm doing).

I was not aware Lionsgate titles still allowed for dual redeems.
