I think Universal sold off all rights and elements to The Brute Man prior to it's release, so that probably won't be included on any future Universal set.
According to the packaging of the 2011 Shout Factory DVD release of MST3K Vol. 22, The Brute Man was licensed from Films Around the World Inc. Hopefully since Shout has already licensed the film once from them before for the MST3K DVD, they can do it again for Blu-ray.

Hmm, guess I don't care if they aren't identical to the DVD sets.

Shout is probably following the DVDs closer than I'd like. We could be seeing volume 3 as

The Black Caste
Night Key
The Climax
Tower of London

Don't forget the 2000s! Still a couple good ones I'm waiting from there. 13 Ghosts, House of Wax and Ghost Ship are all Warner and look like they're OOP and my guess is Shout will do something with those. Stuff like Cry Wolf, Turistas, Club Dread and feardotcom that haven't been released on blu yet.

1943 Val Lewton film The Ghost Ship is a really good show -- One of the Val Lewton 9 RKO Horror Classics.

Shout factory is having a Roger Corman sale. Titles are up to 43% off through April 8th.

-Munchies/Munchie - $17.99
-Rock N Roll high school - $15.99
-The Unborn - $17.99
-The Evil - $17.99
-Slumber Party Massacre - $15.99
-Brain Dead - $17.99
-The Wasp Woman - $17.99
-Star Crash - $15.99
-Battle Beyond the Stars - $15.99
-Humanoids from the deep (old release) - $15.99
-Forbidden World - $15.99
-Galaxy of Terror - $15.99
-The Nest - $11.99
-Naked Vengence/ Vendetta - $17.99
-Piranha (old release) - $15.99
-Saturday the 14th - $22.99

Plus a bunch of DVD releases for $12.99 to $15.99. I've been wanting to grab Munchies and The Evil so I'm down for those, but need to find something else to get over that $50 shipping threshold.

I would expect that Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World will be 4k Remaster announcements in the near future so if you plan to pick these up it may be worth waiting.

Couldn't even pull through with a 50% off sale? What's 43%? Such a random amount.

I'd be less offended if it was 40%. I don't actually buy direct from them because of exchange, shipping, duty, etc. but it still bugs me haha! 43% is just annoying for some reason.

43% puts the newer titles in line with what some online retailers have had them listed for. I'm sure that's a big part of how/why they came up with that number.

Man's Best Friend Blu-ray finally dropped to a reasonable $23.99 on Amazon - are they price matching anyone? Needless to say I grabbed a copy.

Lol. It's a decent time waster but, at $24, it's a slightly better investment

Received my March Madness sale shipment. Nice to be all caught up on the CE’s all under $20. Was surprised Sleepwalkers still shipped with the poster.
Also surprised Starman didn’t have a shrinkwrap over the slip.

I'm looking at ordering a copy of the Cape Fear Remake from Universal... Given that this was released back in 2011 and is primed for a re-release at some point, does anyone have any reason to believe that this could be announced by Scream Factory in the near future? I'm leaning toward no, as I feel that if they had wanted it, they would have already released it but who knows...

It's one of those where they'll almost certainly get no participation from the director and most of the cast, so I'm not sure if there's any point bothering, save the prospect of a new transfer.

9 titles (albeit two delayed ones), so I'd have to think so. Then again, I'd be surprised if we didn't see another Select title or two, so who knows?
