The obvious inference putting together the two sources is that it was Katzenberg. Why don't these people come right out and say it? Power protects power. I think you might be mixing up events, and thinking of when Lasseter was fired from Disney after his pitch of Brave Little Toaster (using computer graphics) was rejected.
