During the Ferman era the BBFC defied logic. They cut a shot of a train hitting a car from the 1996 Arnie film Eraser. There were supposed to be people in the boot, but all you could see in the shot was metal hitting metal. But this was cut from an 18-certificate cinema release.

(That was probably their most insane decision, admittedly, unless you count the nunchuka fixation)
