Rambo is Millennium Entertainment (Nu Image), through Lionsgate, just as the sequel will be. The 4K will likely come with the sequel's home video release. Weinstein had abso****inglutely nothing to do with the film - and has no control over it - and simply got a title credit with Lionsgate because they sold the Rambo franchise to Millennium and it was the Weinstein Bros. policy to secure credit for every property they sold or dealt to someone else, such as PJ's Lord Of The Rings.

Exactly, Lionsgate likely holding onto it for release nearer the new movie. Miramax has nothing but a token contractual credit and that's it for their involvement.

Was watching Rambo II again and it's definitely a SFX/music stem spread to 5.1

There is a hard pan during the helicopter chase - and the sound effect AND music are briefly panned to the rear surrounds.

Sad it appears the original Dolby Stereo and 70MM tracks are lost.

Do you think they will ever release the original 3 hour cut of First Blood? Or would Stallone never want it seen by the public?

I doubt it as I think it would have happened by now.

I think they should release it since it is so much longer and would change the tone of the film completely.

Longer doesn’t always mean better. I think First Blood is a classic and paced well.

I was just meaning as an extra to the version we all know or at least release the rest of the footage as deleted scenes.

I think it's fast pace is one of the best things about the film. I'm tired of watching action films that are 2 and 1/2 hours long.

not sure if its probably my TV but I notice this film looking extremely dark in certain scenes. 1080p bluray or the DVD versions didn't look that dark. It actually bothers me. I notice some jungles looking very blury also.

Not sure which movie you mean but none of them looked dark to me, either as in too low brightness or too much black. Not sure which you mean.

Rambo First blood part 2 4k UHD. the scenes in the jungle look very dark in my screen especially when Rambo first Sneaks into the Vietnamese compound at night. The scene where Rambo Is fighting the Russian guy in the helicopter, the light coming through the helicopter door looked so bright that it made the scene look blury in my screen. The rest of movie look good atleast for me.

Rambo 2 does have some soft shots that look hazy, sort of like Superman. Could that be what you mean? The night scenes shouldn't look dark at all though, in fact they're very bright and a lot of people complained about light blacks.
