There's this thing called PTO (Paid Time Off). 2 months from now, plenty of time in advance to put it in.

Nope. Discounted at every single theatre around me. Got two Dolby tickets for $10 each.

I’m not a fan of how these Spider-Man movies are so balls deep into the MCU, much more so than the other solo movies. The way they keep babying him is taking away all the “teen/high school” fun that these films promise.

Yeah I'd rather not have to wake up at 9 AM to go to the movies. I'm not a morning guy, unless work forces me to be up that early.

And that's fine if you opt to use your time off that way. Not everyone is going to do that.

I actually took Friday 4/26 off so that I could see Endgame Thursday night because I didn't want to wait to see it, and with it being so long, I didn't want to have to get up and go to work the next day.

However, that is the exception and not the rule for me. For most movies, I'm fine waiting a couple of days until the weekend. It's going to be the same movie regardless of whether I wait a couple of extra days or not to see it (in reference to any movie).

Not everyone is going to prioritize these things the same way that you do. It doesn't mean that they aren't real fans, it just means that they have to balance their fandom with other aspects of life.

So you can take your "true fans" bull shit and shove it straight up your ass.

I know what "PTO" stands for & it's use. Not everyone has a job that offers PTO. Posting statements in a thread saying only "True Fans" see this film at 9am is petty AF. Let folks see the film when they can & stop thread crapping & instigating.

Man, I request the day off for every MCU Blu-ray and theatrical release. Thor Ragnarok, Captain Marvel, Infinity War, Endgame, etc. New MCU films are my holidays each year.

Oh yeah and my theater isn't doing the discount day pricing for that Tuesday. Just another way Cinemark sucks ass, what else is new.

I wasn't too excited for this film but this new trailer changed my mind completely. Loved it. Can't wait!

Next he'll tell you that "true fans" make it a priority to do whatever they can to get a job with PTO just so they can take days off to see movies a little earlier than everyone else.

I get 4+ weeks of PTO a year, so occasionally I'll use a day for a movie if it's something big that I've really been waiting for.

I am sure my job would love if it tell them I want off vacation to see a movie opening day. Which I did. I requested off 4th of July weekend. But they can be a real P.I.T.A. when trying to get days off during holidays. But have no problem giving people time off who do half the work I do.

Isn't it illegal for employers to ask you why you're taking time off? Whether it's sick time or PTO, I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to ask..

I seriously think that someone on the creative team decided to add that bit about Cap's ass and his old costume not being flattering in that regard during reshoots in response to the idiotic internet thing about Brie Larson's anatomy compared to Holland's.

I could be wrong, but I'm not a big believer in that sort of coincidence.

I have done so on occasion, as I stated earlier. And I've even taken days off for arguably sillier things than that when I had the desire to do so.

The point is that it is up to the individual to prioritize how they use whatever amount of PTO (if any) that they get through their job. And it shouldn't have to form to one person's standard of what constitutes a "true fan."

Same. Using one day for one highly anticipated movie isn't going to kill you.
