Heading to the doctor soon to get checked out for an undiagnosed abdominal issue that has been flaring up badly as of late. Expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. Here's to it being just a hernia.

Interestingly, there's a common factor among the 3 of them. They are all truck drivers. I get that you guys work a lot, but in reality all you do is drive for hours. I won't generalize them with all other drivers (the ones that stink, don't wash), but at the end of the day it's a job that requires little skill or effort. There's no labor, there's no customer interaction, nothing.

In addition, I've worked my 2 jobs (bank and Lowes, I'm not even including the countless hours I've driven for Uber and DoorDash), over a year now. Unlike the 3 of them above, I have two little kids that rely and suck up any time they can with me. Last fall I was a volunteer assistant soccer coach for my daughter's team (and will be doing so again this fall). I'm running for city council right now, with the hope that if I win, I can cut down my hours at Lowes.

I'm not saying any of this to brag, or gloat, or whatever. I simply said I was tired but now I felt like I have to defend myself to three idiots. But I bet you they can't say anything back..

Person #3 is my brother.

I have nothing against drivers, and I know their job is not always easy, but their comments ticked me off.
That would tick me off, too. I hate when people try to delegitimize what someone is feeling like that. Like if someone says they're tired after working a four-hour shift and someone else is like "Oh, please, I had to work an eight-hour shift. I'm the one who's tired." Or when a guy complains about having to shave and a girl is like "You have it easy; I have to shave my legs and armpits." Everybody has the right to feel however they feel. Life shouldn't be a competition to see who has it worse.

Every time I see hernia I just think of Weird Al's music video for living with a hernia . I hope it's not that. I wouldn't want that even on my worst enemy.

It happened again! I’m at the movie theater. There are exactly three tickets sold to this screening and a senior citizen bought the seat right to mine! I don’t get it.

Tough call.
I wouldn’t want to leave a job that I like. But if it’s causing too much grief, that’d take a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Best of luck to you on whatever you decide!

Thanks folks. Wabo bring up OLD shit, haha.

The doctor didn't seem remotely concerned but still decided to check under the hood regardless. That was NOT the way I wanted to start this weekend!

I just got back from picking up a pizza. I sat the box on the cabinet and we I returned from using the bathroom I noticed my cat sitting right in the middle of the pizza looking at me. I don't know how he opened the lid.

Why hot dogs come in packages of ten and hot dog buns come in packages of eight?

Because meat is sold by weight. If you want the same meat to bread ratio, buy the larger more plump hot dogs which also come to 8 per pack.

That’s a good answer, I was going to say:

Life doesn't always work out according to plan so be happy with what you've got, because you can always get a hot dog.

I just use the extra hot dogs to make action figures, which I sell on eBay.

It's been a nice side gig. I use the profits to buy more hot dogs, which I then use to make more action figures, which I then sell on eBay...

I've taken up snacking on breakfast cereal instead of donuts/cake/cookies/chips etc. Cereal has lots of good stuff along with the bad so, in addition to fruit, I think it's a good option. Did they stop making Alpha Bits cereal? Can't even find it at Walmart and they have everything.

I love cereal, there's so many great different kinds. Trix, Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles, Frosted mini wheats, Life, etc. I could eat cereal for every meal.

I ate Cheerios for every meal for almost a year. Lost a lot of weight but gained it back

I live, breathe, eat, dream about and basically consume movies 24/7 (and, to some extent, certain TV shows) but, as much as I love them, I don't like discussing them with anyone in person. I always get asked "have you seen this movie?" at work and I'll groan a bit to myself and say "yeah" but most times I'll blatantly lie and say "No, sorry" to avoid discussion. Talk to me about anything else except movies

I learned this morning that my employer wants to send me out of state the week i return from my mini-vacation next week. Ever since I got the news all I've thought about is how my fiancee is going to react when I tell her, having to take care of my daughter while working her time demanding job is gonna be rough, but it'll only be for one week-two at the most.
