Alligator people are scary as hell. What are you people talking about?

I just realized that, for some reason, I failed to place an order for The Alligator People when I was placing my May pre-order from the Shout Factory site. I just placed a pre-order from Amazon.

Also placed my pre-order for The Alligator People a few days ago on Amazon, and included This Island Earth, Monster on the Campus and The Land Unknown blu-rays.

I look at it as a very early photo warning of the dangers of excessive exposure to sunlight and the damage it does to the skin.

Sure, it's a funny photo now but when I first saw a similar picture back in an early issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland it did a number on me!

If Scream Factory really does manage to make a deal with Disney at some point, I'm gonna need a full fledged Stay Alive blu-ray release from Scream. Preferably with the director's cut. I drool about the possible cover art just thinking about it. Maybe one day... (A Fright Rags or Cavity Colors clothing collaboration would be really nice for the movie, too

I'm really hoping they will release The Shining eventually...

I'd love an uncut version with original ending and some good extras.. pleaseeee

Ps.. yes i know Warner is releasing it on 4k.. but with no extras... also... I read that 4k isnt doing too well... DVD is the highest rank in sales... then bluray.. and 4k at the lowest.. I believe it's under 50 %.... most likely the reason why Samsung wont make anymore 4k players...

Yea but that doesnt mean anything... 4k doesnt sell well.. it's at the lowest ranking when it comes to buying discs..

It does at least suggest that it's a title Warner wish to hang on to. Moreover, if the longer ending was ever going to be included on a home video release, you'd think Warner would include it on this release. I don't see why they'd suddenly acquiesce to another label including it on another release.

Is there an uncut version? I always thought there were only two versions, the American version and the Europian version.

The “uncut” version probably refers to the original “premiere” release. The film originally had two extra minutes in the ending but Kubrick requested that it be cut three days after its release. The general public (at least, excluding the few that actually saw it) hasn’t seen in it in 39 years.
