Default Blu Ray Player Help! Not Reading!

Ok I just bought an HP laptop and it Has the drive Matshita BD-MLT UJ-210s and it's not reading any blu ray. I have tried searching for firmware updates and nothing seems to be working. It keeps refering me to Vaio for downloads which may be why it's not working. Please help me!

Did you try reinstalling your software? sometimes reinstalling the software fixes the problem. Does your system have quickplay software?

Just wondering why a HP would be directing you to "Vaio" for downloads.

Where did you buy it?

It is running on XP and I bought it at a computer store in St.Louis. The drive is put in alot of Vaio Laptops apparentely. I'm not sure why it's in my HP.

If it is a factory installed drive then HP should be the place to get updates and firmware - not Sony.

Will it not read the discs at all, or will it not play the movie?

What software are you using for playback?
