That's been my usual MO for Amazon International. AGS to the US seems to be mostly i-parcel (UPS) with tracking and so far the UK packages have been excellent though one Italian package and one French I-parcel never left the country nad had to be re-sent. Standard is usually Asendia which about 20-25% of mine have to be re-sent. I don't know what service AGS to Canada might be though, but it sounds like they default to Asendia now (not sure Iparcel is a thing to Canada)

I had a big German order from their '5 for 3" sale around May 23 -- 15 items via standard shipping 2 via Royal Mail (4 item and 7 item), 4 single packages via Asendia all mailed around May 25-26. I though about upgrading the AGS, but it was triple the cost unlike UK so I rolled the dice

Royal Mail est delivery June 17th (no tracking) -- 4 item package actually came Wed and hoping Package 2 might get here today or tomorrow judging my usual RM experience in them always overestimating deliveries date (3 wks is almost always 7-10 days). Other than lack of tracking, I normally love seeing Royal Mail as the delivery service.

Asendia with tracking with estimate Delivery June 12-13 -- all tracking for all 4 packages dead-ended May 28 in UK "Package departed an Amazon facility
Rochester, Medway GB" No further updates at all. Knowing Asendia I expected delivery a week after their estimated date and it will not surprise me if the tracking never updates. If it's not here by June 20 I'll contact Amazon since they always tell me to wait a week past Est. Date anyway.

we only have AmazonGlobal Standard, AmazonGlobal expedited, AmazonGlobal priority. For me AmazonGlobal Standard has all been asendia so far..

the order i got was just regular 3d bluray for gravity, last jedi and end game. so no limtied edition. just hoping amazon wont decline replacement if asendia screw me over again. dont feel like i should be penalized to pay 10 extra pounds because they are providing me a bad shipping carrier..

I don't see how open packages is Ascendia's fault. I ship using Ascendia as I have an account with them and use them at times to ship packages as I have a small business. Over 300+ packages sent in the last 6 months to countries like Cyprus, Mongolia, France, Germany, Japan etc... and I haven't had a single lost or damaged package.

Agreed. In my personal experience, when a parcel is badly sealed or uses inadequate packaging (not uncommon with Amazon), it doesn't matter what shipping speed you choose; with or without tracking, the damage will be the same, and it will have been Amazon's fault, not the courier. Again, it should only matter with limited edition items or orders that are time-sensitive.

I promise (I'm rarely sure enough to use that word ) this will not happen if you remain honest, contact them quickly, explain clearly, collect evidence whenever ever you can, and accept having to wait for a replacement (as opposed to repeatedly asking for refunds because of a damaged good).

Some shipping companies, if they notice the package has been compromised, will at least reseal it instead of sending it along their merry way. I've had that happen with UPS before where they inserted a note to verify all items are present before resealing it with tape. In another instance, the carrier actually refused a package and returned it to Amazon because it had already been damaged before they even got it (can't remember which shipping company, maybe DHL). Maybe in those cases, they just happened to have workers that care or they were trained to CYA.

The worst thing that UPS has done with my packages is deliver to my neighbor's house instead of mine. I've never had a lost package with them or missing items. With Asendia, I've probably had issues about 4 out of the 7 times they've been used, those aren't good odds and since other packages from international Amazon have arrived without issue when not using Asendia, it can't all be Amazon's fault.

I wish the European Amazon's used DHL though. Not sure if that's what they use when using expedited since I've never picked that most expensive option, but whenever I order from AmazonJP I get the package from DHL in like 3-4 days. I'm not on the West coast either which makes it even more impressive.

FYI for fellow Canadians. People in the CDN deals forum are reporting Amazon UK has doubled the base shipping price to Canada. It used to be 3.49 pounds, it’s now 7 plus 2.99 each additional disc. I haven’t ordered recently, but that’s a pretty significant increase if true

Does anyone know how long before release Amazon UK fixes the mis-calculated Global Priority Shipping pricing? Last week an order I placed for some movies was only 8 GBP, but a preorder for the same number of movies is showing up as 64 GBP (obviously an error, since they weigh basically the same). I know this has been a problem with other releases.

(EDIT: Found in the Incredibles 2 thread 4 days prior to release shipping seems to calculate correctly)

Went to order a couple of 3d discs that were on special from Amazon UK today for deliver to Canada and noticed the HUGE increase for all shipping options. They were double the cost. Also would note to Never use Asendia the one time I made the mistake of using the cheapest shipping order took 3 months to get to me by that time I already had replacements.

Were they pre-orders?

NO They were not pre orders. Regarding the package Asendia took so long to deliver, once I had contacted Amazon uk they had replacements on the way and were delivered in less than a week.
I did decide to order the 2 3d blu rays that had the higher shipping cost as they were on sale for 2 for 18 pounds UK and even with the shipping it worked out to being what I would normally pay for a 3d blu here in Canada. I did notice that now they are using UPS I parcel rather than DHL for delivery.
Also noticed that with it now being twice the price delivery time is almost twice as long DHL used to deliver within a week at most. Expected time for this new order is 2 weeks.

All of Rahul's eBay listing have been removed yet again.

Even more strangely, he has marked as shipped my order of Spider-man: Far From Home 4K + 3D. I even have a tracking number. But this seems way too early, as I think this movie will be released in most countries in October. Not sure what's going on.

It’s part of pre sale guarantee from eBay, items must be shipped within 30 days so of course he is not shipping anything because he doesn’t have it but to eBay he did so he won’t get in trouble. Seriously I don’t know why you guys keep giving him business still.

I've sold some pre-order items before on ebay. I always wait until there's a reported release date. Rahul sells FAR ahead of them (not knowing the dates at all) and constantly kicks his release dates down the road. Honestly, I don't know how he keeps track of his orders since the ebay system flushes them after 90 days.

Looks like Rahul has moved over to an entirely new eBay account known as steel-box-movies. His old rahul-and-i-store account is still active, but there are no items listed for sale under that account.

I have to wonder if this is an attempt to bypass any restrictions eBay placed against his old account. The whole thing just seems really shady to me.

Am sure it is, Ryan.

He sends people tracking numbers to think the item is being shipped. Then after two weeks I contacted him, asking where is it. Immediately received a general reply stating it and other titles were not yet available due to issues I can't even remember.

If I didn't institute an inquiry, would not have known.

Bottom line is people think rahuls shipping items he has no idea when will be available. That in itself shows he's not trustworthy.

I don't get his urge for having the funds way ahead of time in all of the releases he posts on ebay. I would think he has enough from his own money to secure inventory ? if he doesn't and he counts with pre orders to secure them then his business model is f*cked. Anyways doing so he's breaking ebay rules and jeopardizing his ebay business also pissing off a lot of customers.

Yep. I sent him a message over a week ago requesting a full refund for my pre-order of Spider-man: Far From Home 4K + 3D. Still have not received a response, so I called eBay this morning and filed a dispute. If Rahul doesn't respond within 3 days, I'll get a refund no questions asked.

Went through eBay to file my request for a refund. Got it within 15 minutes.
