Warner/New Line apparently did license Jason to Paramount so they could do a new film by themselves, but that expired even before the lawsuit (they did green light a project, but canceled it after Rings bombed. This was before the new Halloween reboot revived interest in old slasher franchises).
NECA just announced they can't put out anymore figures because of the lawsuit. I believe FvJ is the last. All they have left are the Hodder Jasons.

I've ran out of room to put them anyway

NECA also said they can't make any more Elm Street figures, but there's no lawsuit around that. It looks more like their license has expired (both Elm Street and Friday were licensed from New Line).
It's possible the lawsuit is keeping them from being able to renew the license for Friday. They're probably letting Elm Street go because they've exhausted the product range for it.
If that's the case, then it's possible Friday-related properties couldn't be licensed out until the lawsuit is settled. So that would probably include home video rights to other studios.

Depends on whether Paramount is willing to license titles that are actively in print on Blu-Ray and / or DVD. Kim Newman had indicated that he had worked on Let's Scare Jessica to Death. That title's been OOP ever since the Warner / Paramount deal ended. Apparently, Eric Red had hinted at the possibility of a Body Parts Blu-Ray, as well. That's another title that has been OOP since the Warner / Paramount deal ended.

SF is selling a statue of a werewolf from The Howling.

https://www.shoutfactory.com/sdcc/

I’m expecting a new release (with a new transfer) to be announced soon.

Didn't they said they tried but were unsuccessful when putting out the steelbook? I can't see them triple dipping after that, especially given that they added an extra or two IIRC.

You could be on to something here. What other titles from that deal are OOP?

The possibility of a Paramount deal is making me salivate. I would kill for a collector's edition of Fire in the Sky.

A lot of stuff, but I don't know how much we should look into it, since all of those titles are OOP since the Warner/Paramount distribution deal expired. Moreover, the agreement generally covered many of Paramount's former DVD releases. I don't know what titles Warner chose not to re-issue, but even so, I'd be very surprised if any deal was limited solely to titles Warner did re-issue.

Funny how every year the anticipation of a Paramount deal looms. Could this actually be the year?

Vice Squad is a very respectable $23.89 on Amazon.

I only mention it because there are a number of DVD-only titles that were reissued since the WB deal ended and a number that weren't.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. In that case I'll echo RedHarvest and ask if you have a list.

Okay I've had a look at this and we should hope that this isn't some kind of stipulation since, as far as I can tell, only the following Scream Factory fare do NOT have a DVD or Blu currently in-print from Paramount or CBS (in addition to Let's Scare Jessica to Death of course):

War of the Worlds
Conquest of Space
I Married a Monster from Outer Space

Blood and Roses
Lady in a Cage
The Vulture
The Penthouse
No Way to Treat a Lady
Danger: Diabolik
Targets

Unman, Wittering and Zigo
The Possession of Joel Delaney
Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter
Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell
Bug
Lipstick
The Tenant
Orca
The Shadow of Chikara
Prophecy

The Fan
My Bloody Valentine
Fighting Back
The Keep
(again, I know)
Explorers
April Fool's Day

Body Parts
Fire in the Sky
Rumpelstiltskin
Night of the Demons 3
Switchback
Ringu
Ringu 2

Ringu 0
The Loved Ones

As you can see the 50s-70s stuff survives largely intact (I think When Worlds Collide and King Kong were the two casualties there, along with The Warriors), but the 80s-90s titles are decimated. Still better than nothing of course, and some strong titles there, but many would no doubt be disappointed if they didn't have access to the notable 80s-00s titles.

I'd consider the deal a resounding success if I got releases of these...

The Possession of Joel Delaney
Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter
The Tenant
Prophecy
My Bloody Valentine - Collectors Edition
The Keep (again, I know) - Collectors Edition (yep...)
April Fool's Day - Collector's Edition
Body Parts
Fire in the Sky
Rumpelstiltskin
Night of the Demons 3

On the subject of The Possession of Joel Delaney - I'm pretty sure this title would have been available to Olive and Kino, but I hear there are problems with the film elements. I imagine Kino would have released it if they could, so they must be quite severe.

I would love to see blu's released of War of the Worlds (1953), I married a Monster from Outer Space, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell, and Conquest of Space.
