In terms of being stuck on my seat after an episode, it would have to be Why We Fight. The concentration camp almost had my eyes tearing up.

But a close second would have to be Bastogne, it just shows how much the guys really had to go through.

I'm surprised no one voted for 2 or 3, which are easily the most action-packed episodes.

But Band of Brothers was never about the action, so you guys chose wisely. I myself love the last one. My favourite character has always been Nixon, and by episode 10 he's come full circle from his lowest point in episode 9. There's the awesome ending baseball game, the German surrender speech, the stay at the Eagle's Nest.... I couldn't think of a better way to end such a magnificent series.

Bastogne was great, but I think they should have portrayed the battle scene instead of cutting away right when it starts.

Why We Fight was very well done except for the sex scene. Yes, I understand that this is HBO, but come on. Did they have to put it in the one episode to focus on the Holocaust? It just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the episode.

Currahee is my second favourite, although it would have been great if they had given more episodes to this time period (1942 up to June 1944).

Third favourite is Crossroads. Tom Hanks did a good job here, the unique flashback style was great.

Replacements could have been done better; they kind of made it seem that Operation Market Garden lasted all of two days. They left out a lot of details, from the mission to the men themselves. I mean, this is the first episode with Lt Peacock and you don't even hear his name spoken! (He's the one who asks Sgt Martin to tap him on the leg when the light turns green; is he colour blind? I don't know, I don't think we ever find out for sure in the whole series.)

Episodes 2 and 3 are equally brilliant. The Breaking Point had many great scenes, including the one in the convent. Episode 8, though, The Last Patrol, isn't really memorable, at least to me. You see the return of Webster, and his narration is well done, but compared with all the other episodes, it just felt kind of lacking.

all are good of course.. but if I had to pick one. it would be "Why We fight"
the first time I watched that episode.. it bugged me, saddened me, and really kept me thinking about it several days later. Powerful, powerful episode. Tough to watch.. but a must see.

Help me. Which was the episode where they broke out of Bastogne and Speers charged through the German lines to link-up with the other company...and then charged back?! That, to me, was the peak of the entire mini-series. If I had to pick an episode, it's that one, but I'm not positive which one it was. Help?

lol good call, so tuff to pick a best one in this great series, but that moment i would have to define as the best. Definitely gives me an emotional response every time i watch it, most the show does, but when he makes that run, makes me wanna hop up and start rooting him on while getting a little choked up at the same time.

also loved this on blu, just saw it not to long ago and man, looked a lot better and the gun shots and surround, well, thought i was gonna have shell shock after experiencing this in hidef.

I am not in any way saying the show got worse, but I thought the build up from Currahee was amazing. To have the last seen cover the night sky with paratroopers and just keep zooming further and further out was incredible. Bastogne, of course, and Why We Fight had me in tears. I thought the fifth one, that TH directed would've been one of the betters ones but I found that one less impressive than the rest.

Carentan...

If the taking of those gun emplacements is now standard teaching at West Point, then this should be the "documentary film" they should watch during the class. Pretty raw stuff. Not the blood or gore, I mean the action.
