Yes. No Christophe Gans commentary, no Akira Yamaoka interview, and basically any interview on that collection they redid for this one (Christophe Gans on Silent Hill 2 etc).

I had this on pre-order with The Tough Ones from Diabolik. I sent a message to Jesse to figure out what was going on. He let me know that both had not been sent because Scream sent his order of Hill's all with damaged slipcovers. This is the 3rd release in a row they sent to him with damaged slips, so they are delayed. He said they are sending more to him and he should have them to fill orders by tomorrow or Thursday this week. He offered to send out my order with a damaged one right away, but I said, no rush. My unwatched pile is large anyways. So you should be getting ship notices soon.

I got the same email from him. I said if it’s just corner/edge damage it’s fine to send me one since I don’t have to have 100% mint slips.

So if you didn’t pre order it there’s no way to get one from Diabolik now?

Same here it's the original theatrical poster.

I was disappointed the 2006 Blu-ray didn't have it or the French release but they finally got it right.

The main menu is just as awesome. Can't remember if the 2006 release used the same one or not. But, I don't think so.

It's different and the 2006 release was bare bones and only 25GB so this new version is better by a long run.

Can’t wait to revisit the movie this weekend. I’ve only watched it once, when it first came out, and remember liking it quite a bit.
For those that have already watched it- no audio/video problems?
Last thought- something tells me we’ll be getting a steelbook of this release sometime in the near future. Just a hunch.

No audio or video problems on my end. Looked and sounded great. I would definitely double dip on a steelbook, if the artwork looked great.

Very good blind buy. I think you will like/love it. Don't know if you ever played any of the games but, this is one of the better game to film adaptations out there.

Played the first game for awhile, but never finished it. I was more into Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, and Solid Snake with a little Final Fantasy and Resident Evil mixed in

I had completely forgotten about the game. Makes me want to dust off my PlayStation.

Yea, I remember the game having a really cool and spooky atmosphere, but I just didn't have enough time to play it. Eventually sold my PS3 off about 10 years ago. All the games with it.

I ordered two copies, one for a family member. My slipcover looked a little flat but not too bad. I went to take the shrink wrap off mine and it seemed taped on. Looks like it got stuck on conveyor belt. I tried to pry it open, I was pumped to watch it again. No dice, its like one giant price sticker (the ones that refuse to come off clean) all over the entire case. My cousin's copy is flawless. Two boxes in one giant box. 50/50 it could have been the other way around. I emailed Shout they are sending me a new copy.

Back to the movie. I've played part 2 and 3 of the game. It shared so many elements from the game. The best part is the music !! When I saw it in the movie theater, it was so loud it gave me chills.

Was never a big fan of the artwork so I flipped that cover with the quickness. Having it on the slipcover is good enough.

I get the feeling the murky blacks was the way the movie originally was graded. It was only after people complained that maybe Gans went back and re-graded it. As long as he personally oversaw transfer, I am fine with it. But I am curious to watch the original US blu on an OLED TV. No blooming etc etc
