I import discs here and there and have a multiregional player, but my problem is that I have a large family (both biological and friends) and we all tend to borrow discs from one another. So anything I purchase that isn't region A, I have to make sure it's something I wouldn't necessarily want to share around.

My other problem is that when I want to watch a Non-Region A disc I have to do so in my media room. I can't watch it in the living room or bedroom, and the players aren't cheap enough to purchase several of them.

I get where you're coming from in general, but with regards to Beverly Hills Cop 2 specifically, all of the international releases are Region Free.

My biggest sticking point on pulling the trigger on region-free imports is shipping.

International shipping isn't really that bad but my brain is wired to make me wait until I have a big order to minimize shipping costs which just keeps me dragging my feet.

The lack of tracking info also turns me off a bit. Again, international shipping is reasonably priced, fairly quick and very reliable but I remember when none of those were the case and it's hard to shake old impressions.

I order from the various international Amazon sites all the time. The last order I had from Amazon Spain had tracking right from Barcelona, through London and on to my home address in Canada. In fact the tracking was better and more accurate than many of the orders I make from the USA.
