Fingers and toes crossed that it's Scream Factory. I really want to get some interviews about this one. A workprint of Craven's Director's Cut would be the cherry on top.

If they make another deal with Warner I'd love a loaded CE of both Road Warrior and Thunderdome. Warner was supposed to release some kind of Special Edition of RW but it never materialized. This was at the tail end of the DVD special edition boom. A UHD would be a dream.

I assume Universal has the rights to The Birds 2 Land’s End? If so SF should look into releasing this since it didn’t even get a DVD release outside of Europe.

WAC releasing the Witches in August is interesting. If there was one Warner title that seemed fit for a SF release, the Witches is it. I'm wondering if Warner has decided against leasing any more properties, and just releasing desired titles in their own WAC line . Either way, very glad to get a legitimate release of the Witches with a new 2019 HD master.

Barring a flood of Warner announcements at CC, it does appear that way. If true, would this be the first instance of a major studio waking up and smelling the coffee after witnessing a third party making good coin on licensed titles? Can't think of a precedent. I've always preferred to get Collector's Editions with slips of studio films from third party labels but lately I'm beginning to not care where they come from. Plain Jane WAC-released BDs are just as good.

Yep; if the film is all I can get, and has a good transfer, that's fine with me. Costs less, too (especially when WAC's 4 for $44 comes around).

I'm not convinced anything has really changed at Warner, aside from an apparent willingness to restore more 30s-40s films and classic animation. For years they didn't licence out and that has only changed the past few years, namely to Criterion and Shout (it's too early to claim their relationship with Arrow with amount to anything truly substantial). But as I've said before, who knows why Warner choose to licence out certain titles and choose to release others, particularly given that they're doing the restoration work for most (if not all) of the Scream titles? Do we suppose it's because Criterion and Scream are supplementing the expense of such restorations? Are we honestly to think Warner might not have bothered with the likes of The Philadelphia Story and The Body Snatcher otherwise? Seems hard to believe to me. They're licencing out some pretty prestigious titles.

I'm not going to put it down to anything in particular. It doesn't look like Warner's relationship with Criterion is about to end any time soon, and I suspect if all parties were happy with the initial deal then another deal with Scream Factory is quite feasible. But regardless of this happening, I very much expect sci-fi/horror titles to keep appearing through the Warner Archive line, just as they did last year. But the good news for us is that we've got far more Warner titles through the Scream agreement than we would have got otherwise, so I hope it continues.

I've always just wanted the movie, could care less about what the packaging looks like. Bring on quality releases in simple formats at good prices. I'm just disappointed the 4/44 doesn't apply in Canada because I'd have so many more WAC releases. Unfortunately I've had to wait for average sales on wowhd.ca or other random price drops. Hopefully WAC gets better Canadian distribution as they continue to build out this line. Overall, good to see that companies are moving in this direction. Warner, Sony, Universal, etc. we've seen releasing their own catalog titles recently through a more simple format. Next up...Lionsgate?

Silent Hill is $23 at Amazon. That's a pre-madness price, isn't it? So it's over?

Warner scans the film element. Color and restoration has been done by Shout and our lab Duplitech.

After being told recently that Bull Moose tends to have Scream titles pretty cheap when they are first listed (I pre-ordered Vampires and Blood From the Mummy's Tomb at just $19.97 a piece), I think I'll start trying to get more of them from there. Any idea when they usually go up? I've been checking each day for The Devil Rides Out but haven't seen it yet.

Thanks for the clarification Cliff. And while you're here - would you mind telling us if you've agreed another deal with Warner? Thanks.

A few people on Facebook have stated that Scream Factory's release of Death Becomes Her has gone OOP.

Since we've gotten no official announcement about this from Scream themselves, take it with a grain of salt. It may simply be a restock period on Amazon (and also Diabolik apparently).
