Seems odd that during this twilight time sale . Neither Twilight Time or SAE has given any lower quantity updates . Not good .

I do know that at SAE the following are low

The Train
Remains of the day
Flaming Star
The Vanishing
Theater of blood
The Hound of the Baskervilles
Pony Soldier
Beloved Infidel
Royal Flash
American Buffalo
Stormy weather
Peyton Place

and at Twilight time

Peyton Place
Places in the heart
The Barefoot Contessa
The Stardust memories
Fat City
State of Grace
Sense and Sensability
Kiss of Death

These are ones that I know of . There could be more . Just trying to give you all some info in case any of you are wanting any before they possibly sell out .

Ones I think will sell out on the sooner end are most likely . Places in the heart , The Train , The Hound of the Baskervilles , Stormy weather & Peyton Place .

Considering the subject of this post, you might want to put a spoiler tag on the spoiler you just accused the trailer of spoiling.

Honestly, I've stopped paying attention to these low quantity alerts. I know there is always a possibility that some titles will sell out, but I look at these lists and I seen some titles that have had "low quantities" for what seems like years. I take these alerts with more than a few grains of salt.

That, and the not small chance that a Twilight Time title will get picked up by someone else down the road, reduces my FOMO greatly. If something I want is selling for a price I want to pay, I'll buy it. If not, I'll wait. My days of panic buying are over.

Especially considering how many have been re-released either by KL, Eureka, Arrow, Indicator, or on and on.

The last year or so there's certainly less FOMO, I believe partly because they are releasing titles that are more obscure. I still try to see any TT film I've never seen before just in case there's a one I end up loving and must own before it's gone, but my urgency in doing so has certainly decreased recently.

Since this twilight time sale has started not 1 low quantity alert sent by either SAE or twilight time . Very odd . In all past sales they sent these out between every week & every other week . Not good .
Anyways the sale rates are not good for this sale . I sure hope the next one is far better . I will not buy anymore myself until the rates are far better and as well as they start updating us customers better with low quantities and sold out information . I truly believe customers whom are limited on funds as it is and wants to pick from what may sell out before something is gone for good rather than ones they can get later is really important as to why these updates are given . These give those customers a last chance before their gone rather than missing out .

Still waiting on Twilight time to release The Left Hand of God on Blu ray .

As a customer, it is nice to know when something is almost gone.
But...
I think it's a bad idea from the business's point of view because it trains the customers to wait until the last moment. It would be far better for them to have people buying without that behind the scenes info- if they miss out because something sells out, well, next time they will buy sooner. Cash flow is very important to a business, and the quicker people buy existing stock, and the higher the price, the better.

It's not odd. The sale prices are terrible, so they're not selling many copies. It makes perfect sense.

Pedantic grammar note:

Put your periods immediately after the last letters in your sentences. I'm not sure why you always put spaces between the last letter and the period, but that's not correct.

I know their current sales prices are not that great but I went ahead and ordered and have received Melvin & Howard, The Other Side of Midnight, The Return of Frank James, Blue Denim, Beat the Devil, The Last Hurrah, The Whole Town Talking, Bedazzled & Gloria.

Some good choices there. If I hadn't gone way over budget this month, I might have bit on the two Fords.

I do see what your saying and see how it makes sense . They are likely to embarrassed to update anyone as it would prove in a round about way how few sales they are likely getting in comparison to other past sales were they would sell out of several titles per sale .
Hope they recognize just how horrible this sale is & was and next time realize they need to be pricing $6.95 , $9.95 & $14.95 prices as before .
I think this last sale is an indication as to whom was pricing these sale prices before and that someone else was controlling this last sale . I think they miscalculated how important these better sale prices are to their business .
Also them taking away their 7 for $70 has not been good for them either I am sure .
Hope they seriously listen to the people and reconsider these things .
I am not saying any of this to bash them but pointing out my opinion of this .

(Re-)Read noirjunkie's comment.

I have to confess that given how infrequent titles have been selling out, and how many are being picked up by Kino, et alia, I've been getting more lethargic about updating the Sold Out Titles list I've been maintaining.
