You can fit it out of the box, but it will have to lay on it's back with the panel up. I would suggest some kind of plastic packing sheet, usually like 1/4 inch thick, to go on top of the screen to prevent it from being scratched by whatever padding you use.

As for after you've transported the item, you should let it sit for a little while, at least an hour if not two, in it's upright position so that the phosphors have a chance to resettle. I know some people don't believe this, but better safe than sorry.

I'm getting my 111FD tomorrow and was wondering about letting it sit for a couple of hours. These delivery guys from BB will hopefully have it upright when they bring it over in their truck [no point in asking them since they might just lie] but I did wanna ask if anyone knew if thats how most warehouses store them... as in upright. If thats the case then I wouldnt wait for a few hours to turn it on lol!
