I have the Yamaha HTR-6080 (RX-V861), which is the previous year version of the 863, and it's a fantastic receiver. It's highly detailed and natural sounding with both movies and music. I highly recommend it.

You need to listen to each with the speakers you plan on using. Each one has its own sound. Personally, I did not like the sound of the Onkyo. I like a warmer sound and my Denon gave me that.
