Glad to upgrade Death Takes a Holiday from my old Meet Joe Black DVD extra, but why does the video significantly shrink/become window-boxed for a full minute in the middle of the film starting at 42:41 on the blu-ray? Not even the opening window-boxed credits are that small.

Forgot how much the film is funny and engaging, so I'm glad someone decided to finally release it.

Maybe the Kino Lorber insider knows (and I didn't find this mentioned here yet), but is any Blu-ray release of Sergei Paradjanov's "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" planned?

Kino Lorber seems to have the rights currently: https://www.kinolorber.com/film/view/id/415, and it's out of DVD since 2008.

Not sure why, but Universal’s MOD DVD also does that, so it’s not KL error.

I have not heard anything about a BD release of Shadows. It may happen, but not anytime soon.

Robert Harris is claiming that Kind Hearts and Coronets does not use the new 4K master that SC used in Europe.

Kino Insider - I just want to clarify something about the remaining 80s MGM titles if I may. You previously said there are 2 left to announce - including a Cannon film - but the other day you said that 'we never confirmed Get Crazy', which is true, as the title was leaked by the director IIRC. That being said, and with that title in mind, are there still 2 unannounced 80s titles, or only 1 if we include Get Crazy?

The European release was an older master, this is a brand new 4K restoration seen in theaters by Rialto. First time on home video.

This was one of three version of this story that Harry Alan Towers produced, one in the 60s, one in the 70s, one in the 80s. I liked this one the least. The best of the three was the 1965 version, which is a Warner title.

I believe tama is referring to the newer SC release that was released earlier this year and not the older Optimum release.

I'm willing to watch anything starring Donald Pleasence. I didn't like the 70's version of the tale, but I'm willing to give this one a shot.

Yeah, I couldn't believe no one guessed it either, they guessed everything else.

The other 80s title will be confirmed this weekend.

The 60s one won't be confirmed till next year.

The best version is the Rene Clair version, but unfortunately, the film elements and rights are with Wade Williams.
