Just as long as you're aware of that, any of those choices would be good.
why wouldn't all future platers decode on-board? it seems like some of the early players didn't decode all formats but have slowly been upgraded via firmware. almost all of the newer players decode each internally. i can't see the hardware market ever taking a step back and not having on-board decoding.

Really? Cuz some of them STILL don't that I'm aware of. Take a look at the players page. While some have added it via firmware update, some still have not.

i dont know much about that model but it doesnt seem to accept 5 channel lossless over hdmi.

the current model Sony/Panasonic/Samsungs all seem to decode all formats on board.
