Father of the Bride is one of my tops. It just takes me to my happy place. Not sure if it would be in the top 5. It's been years since I tried to make a definitive list.

Nashville. Possibly my #1 film of all time.

Not that many people don't recognize it as great but I think few people would see it in their top five or even top 50.

I don't know if it is in my top 5, but I love Excalibur.

So my main post was edited. The word retard was removed cuz someone complained it shouldnt be used... I was just referencing the movie I was pertaining to- "Step Brothers", in which that word was used 3x. Some people are just too sensitive. lol

I consider it probably my favorite horror film of all time if not Top 3. It's still top 5 in any genre for me most of the time. I may have to rethink my top 5 but it still is top 10 absolutely.

To those who haven't seen the Director's Cut, the appearance of Kingdom of Heaven could raise an eyebrow or two. Jurassic Park too.

I don't think these are that crazy or that big of head scratchers, but i don't think many others have these in their Top 5; Anchorman, Kick-Ass & The Hangover are all probably in my personal Top 5.

I'm not sure that there's any film where the Director's Cut makes as huge of a difference as it does with Kingdom of Heaven. They are almost like two completely different movies.

Superbad

And not so much a headscratcher on this one but also Training Day just because I never see people mentioning it

I know it's well liked but I don't see it much in top 5's and certainly not #1 but it's mine. It's not a classic when put next to others in that category but I love it and never get sick of it. It's just a complete picture for me that has everything I want and nothing I don't. The pacing and performances are just perfect for a movie like this. I can watch it any time no matter what mood I'm in and it's definitely one of the most quotable movies ever.
Now all I need is a complete remaster since the picture on the current disc is the only thing holding it back.

I don't think there's any title in my top 5 that will make people scratch their heads. My taste in movies is fairly conventional, I'm afraid.

In my overall top 50, though, I'm sure many will be aghast to find the likes of Femme Fatale, Redacted, and Bitter Moon.

I'm with you on Mad Max.

Fantasia, and people scratch their heads with that choice not because its a bad film but it pops out considering my other 4 top films are usually, Terminator 2, Akira, Halloween, and Hara-Kiri.
