What movie titles make you believe the film is about one thing, but ends up being about something entirely different.

Cinderella Man

Sounds like a chick flick about a male ballerina dancer or something.

If you were to only see the movie title, who would have known the film was a true story about boxing champ James Braddock.

"Cinderella story" is NOT a sports term. It is referring to the story of Cinderella, a rags-to-riches story, that is applicable to any facet of life.

But I suppose you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that a film called Cinderella Man was a story of a boxer.

Jim Braddock was nicknamed the Cinderella Man. It seems to make sense to name a movie after his nickname.
