Does anyone know if the new movies are supposed to be put out Friday 9/13 or Friday 9/20? Is there an ad listing them? I didn't see this answered in the last few pages.
I realize some stores have already gotten theirs and put them out. From my prior experiences, my stores get anywhere from 0 to 6 boxes of movies, and they put them out whenever they feel like it (or in the managers' words "when we get around to it"). Last time one further away store got a huge number of boxes of movies and refused to put them out for a long time or let me look through them. I was told they started trickling them out over months because they didn't have enough room. I decided it wasn't worth the time/gas to go there. If all DT stores would put out all the movies on the same day, then I could set aside a morning or afternoon to hit a bunch of them in 1 trip rather than driving all over town as each store decides to put theirs out on different days. Unfortunately the total inconsistency of DT movies means I only go to a few stores near me because most stores are a waste of time. It's maybe 1 out of 6 stores that has some good stuff. I sometimes called the stores, but more and more often they get annoyed being asked to check on movies saying they are the only person at the register with a long line of people. The employees on the floor rarely have any clue what's in the back or when it's supposed to go out. For this reason, I no longer invest a lot of time and driving for these DT movie sales and usually don't find much I want at the few stores I visit. Last edited by Baguda; 09-12-2019 at 05:08 AM. |

My store received Pretty Bad Actress (DVD) but I left it for someone else. It looked like there was only one copy of that, The Layover and Afternoon Delight, so these may be tougher to find; zhuge1's pictures may confirm this..

I'm excited to see more Scooby and Tom & Jerry - hopefully they'll come here and I can beat the ebay dvd cartoon lot(ers). Also I wants
![]() Maybe Holiday Inn will show up. ![]() atm: I'm probably not buying a lot in this cycle - I'm trying to save money (hahahahaha!!!) so that before Halloween, I might have a new pretty 4k main screen (tv - I'm a multiple tv/screens set up, cuz as a child it was a sign of uber rich and so damn cool) my ultimate tv fantasy?? is to have my ceiling as solid screen it would be AWESOME!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by PoorCampBlu; 09-12-2019 at 01:13 PM. |

Not usually an ad. But Zhuge has a picture of one of the boxes that says to put it out on Sept 20.

For example, there was already a Master Movie ID for this in the database (under the IMDb titles of Love, Gloria), so that makes it easier and fills in some info automatically. DVD's, Blu-ray's, digital, etc. don't have to be connected to one, but it provides several benefits to do so. In this instance I don't own the dvd or have access to an image of the rear cover art, so there's some info there that would be good to add that's missing. But that can be edited in later by anyone. Amazon lists the studio as "Little Stephie Films". They're not always correct, but IF they are then that's a more obscure studio that's not yet available as an option at this site. But it can be requested. Here's the basic form for adding new DVD's, when there's no Master Movie ID (aka Theatrical Entry) already in the system, and if you don't want to try to add that first: https://www.blu-ray.com/products/?c=...ion=addproduct The Blu-ray form is similar, though there are fewer of those titles missing from this site. Either way, I'd encourage you to give it a try. Most of the people who review DVD submissions are friendly, and know that pretty much everyone who's learning makes mistakes at some point. Good luck to you if you do try it. |

Stopped by my closest Dollar Tree this morning.
IOTW is Halloween Solar lights. Electronics department was devoid of any movies. Before I left, I noticed a box on the side of the front IOTW bin. It said Tableware 9/13. So, it looks like Tableware is IOTW for 9/13 and then the movies for 9/20. I'm gonna stop by another location tomorrow. One that usually puts out movies 1 week early. I might get lucky. |

I'm debating if it's worth an 11 mile drive each way for an early peek at 6 boxes figuring it's going to be mostly DVDs or if I should take my chances and just go to all of them on F 9/20. First world decisions/problems. |

I would go. If you get lucky and find most/all of your wants, that 22 miles will be a lot less than you'd have to travel to hit every other store on a wild goose chase.

Had to go to a DT anyway and did found a mess of new movies in the electronics isle...
Even though I swore to myself no more regular DVDs, I couldn’t resist some... ![]() |
