I agree with Undeadcow on The Cottage, It's a really fun horror/comedy movie.

If you are interested in a horror/slasher musical, Stage Fright is pretty good.

And IMO, Southbound is one of the better horror anthology films I have seen.

I remember buying a VHS bootleg of the Producers Cut on eBay in the late 90s. The quality was so bad you could barely make anything out. I consider it the superior version although I think both are pretty flawed. And not a fan of how they handled Michael and Jamie

It's been loaded for days now.

I'll be getting Lady in White and probably the Halloween sequels that I don't own. I passed on the sequels last year but probably get them this time around.

Man, I haven't seen lady in white in years. I'm defiantly going to pick that one up.

I'd like to recommend The Cottage, as well. Haven't seen it since it came out on DVD and I'm eager to see it again.

A couple other recommendations:

I Saw The Devil - Extremely violent and f'ed up Korean revenge thriller. Really well done by one of my favorite directors, Kim Jee-woon. Far more than just a horror movie, but it is gruesome. Think Green Room (which is also great), but... more.

The Blackcoat's Daughter - More of an atmospheric horror film, but one of my favorites of the last few years. I saw it for the first time in December of last year and I still think about it often.

What are you trying to buy? Make sure the prices have dropped. Maybe you're clicking on buy when its supposed to be cheaper so its not going through. I had to look on my phone and TV to see some of the dropped prices.

Lady In White barely dropped. $15 to $9.99 isn't 50% off so thats a bummer. I'm probably going to get the Halloween sequels I don't own but want to give it a bit more thought.

It looks like the 8-Film "Friday The 13th" bundle that's on sale at iTunes for $12.99 is now $13.00 on Vudu and oddly enough, not included on their Friday the 13th-themed sale page. The bundle includes the theatrical cut of the first film as opposed to the Uncut version, which can be purchased separately.

Any idea if "Cursed" is in the correct 2.35:1 aspect ratio like the DVD or if it's cropped to 1.78:1 like the Lionsgate / Echo Bridge Blu-ray?

Cursed is cropped to 1.78:1. I checked it against the DVD version. And it's not an open frame transfer. It's missing image from the sides.

Also, it's the PG-13 version. Unfortunately, I don't think the Unrated version has ever been available for streaming. So I'm stuck with the old DVD (Unrated & OAR).

A few years back I "imported" the Unrated Canadian DVD. I can't make myself watch the rated PG-13 one again.

Thanks for checking! I have the Unrated DVD as well so maybe I'll just stick with that. I doubt we'll ever see either cut in an OAR version on Blu-ray unless Dimension Films' catalog suddenly falls into the hands of a company that will actually do something with it.

Personally I found it much better than 'A New Binge,' but not as good as parts 3 and 4. They used practical effects which was awesome, but you can literally see the puppeteers at least twice hiding behind props totally in frame.

Not that they're in any great demand but it's lame for the Lifetime original movies in the Friday the 13th sale to include discounts only on standard definition.

I blind bought Critters Attack at that price; even if it's bad I feel ok about supporting another movie in that franchise and a nod at returning to campy odd 80s horror, away from jump scare torture porn.

I didn't realize how good of a deal that was until I got a Fandango email with the same deal specifying that it comes out to less than $2 per movie. That makes it $1.625 per movie. I can't stand parts 7 and 8, but even if I ignore them, it is like getting 1 - 6 for about $2.17 each. I'm disappointed that part one isn't the unrated cut ("uncut"), but I have the "uncut" blu-ray so I'll live. It is M2D so if it bothers me that much, I can go that route. I have $10 in gift cards from Microsoft Rewards and a $3 Vudu credit from the Miles app so I'll end up only paying taxes on $10. It would be nice to have access to these films "on the go". I've lately been limiting my purchases to TV and movies not on Blu-ray but this is a really good deal.

The Friday the 13th 'Uncut' version is relatively mild and more of a marketing ploy to dupe people into feeling they need to repurchase a second edition.

If you compare the run times you will see they are nearly the same and actually vary by 11 seconds due to two death scenes running slightly longer - one extended scene has been criticized as looking fake and was perhaps wisely cut; the only other difference is a slightly longer end death scene (originally this death scene was slowed down so that accounts for some time difference).

Obvious spoilers here:

Horrible Garbage A New Binge was a web series that they steamed as a TV show so they had a good excuse for the bad and they ran with the silly and stupid. But Critters Attack just bad bad bad
