Thanks.

Did you purchase the bundle through Vudu or redeem your UV copy through Vudu to get the bundle?

Yeah, I thought about that, and I figured it would be, but I won't be able to maintain the OP with updates. It would have to be every post for itself.

You have to buy the bundle. I think the UV Code only gets you the movie.

Thanks again. I figured as much, but I wanted to make sure I was getting the most of my UV codes.

I just bought a $25 Vudu credit off Ebay for $10 and am minutes away from buying that Jurassic Park Trilogy in HDX.

They are having a number of sales right now on Movies and TV shows.

A few that caught my attention:

Hunger Games (Vudu exclusive digital bundle) $11.99 (HDX)
The Amazing Spider-Man (Vudu exclusive digital bundle) $11.99 (HDX)
Men in Black 3 (Vudu exclusive digitial bundle) $11.99 (HDX)

... though not sure if the extra features are HD/HDX or not.

I also noticed HUGE discounts on BBC TV shows (all are HDX, unless otherwise noted):

Sherlock BBC (Digital bundle of BOTH S1 and S2) $12.99 (71% off)
The Fades BBC Season 1 $7.99
Being Human BBC S1 $9.99
Being Human BBC S4 $12.99
Doctor Who Series 7, Part 1 $10.99

What I have determined is that Vudu needs to list prices discounts on the search pages ... cause getting even this far was PAINFUL!

A Vudu Discount thread could be worth it, having people post the deals they find.
If you have amazon prime, you could watch Sherlock seasons for free through prime instant videos.

Credit goes to nycomet who posted this in a different thread. Amazon has the two non-free episodes for the same price.

The holidays are over, but I already purchased for next Christmas: Disney's Prep & Landing in HDX here on Vudu in HDX.

For some reason Vudu is listing it as: Disney Prep & Landing: Season 1. Total Price: $5.98

It contains three episodes:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
00 - Operation Secret Santa (7 minutes/2010) FREE
01 - Prep & Landing (22 minutes/2009) $2.99
02 - Naughy vs. Nice (22 minutes/2011) $2.99

So for just under six bucks I have HDX files of all the Prep & Landing holiday TV specials. The lowest I saw the blu-ray was $12.99 at amazon (but now it's $14.99) and I believe the blu-ray does NOT include the "Operation Santa" short which features Betty White voicing Mrs. Clause (but I could be wrong about that).

Get the Operation Secret Santa (7 minute short) FREE here.

Buy the set in HDX for $5.98 here
(you'll have to click each individual episode and purchase one at a time).

I started this one quite awhile back before we had a digital section so not a lot of people see it as it is kind of burried in the retail shopping section. But in I just suggested each post come back and delete there posts as offers end. But I think it would get more use in this new section of the forum.

Edit:
Oops I forgot to include link here it is.

The way I understand it is the redemption limit for Vudu credit is "per promotion", not 5 lifetime total. So he would need to ensure that it was less than 5 credits or for different promotions (or promotions he had not used yet).

For example, they are currently running a promotion where Vudu credit is attached to some Kleenex tissue packs.

Those are redeemed through http://www.walmart.com/kleenex

On that specific page, it states Limit 5 per customer, so you can only redeem the Kleenex credit 5 times. A different promotion would have a different start page.

This is further backed up by the response from a Vudu Forum Administrator:

I noticed that as well, and if I had Prime or the time to watch it, I probably wouldn't bother with Vudu at all.

I prefer to own content, as I have NO idea when I might get a chance to watch it ... it may be in a week or it may be in decade. I have probably watched less than 20% of my media collection, just because I have so little time to do it.

Now "own" is a loose term with respect to Vudu. There is always the possibility that Vudu closes or becomes otherwise inaccessible to me, which would mean that I would lose my purchase, but I doubt I am going to spend near the amount on Vudu that Amazon charges for Prime each year.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll see what happens. I'm sure that this thread, or one like it, will develop a life of its own.

Well, my experience proves this wrong...

I have a new Vudu account and purchased $25 worth of credit on eBay. 5 codes worth $5 each. Put them all in and then found another sale where I was able to buy $20 worth of credit but in the form of two $10 codes.

They didn't work and I got a message about reaching my promotional limit.

Fair enough. I wonder if overlapping promotions may cancel each other out ... maybe the promotion periods are time-bound and any promotion in that timeframe counts toward the total.

That would be welcome news if someone discovers it's true.

Maybe soon they'll simply revoke this stupid rule and make it like almost every other place in the world where the more, the merrier is king.

I agree, I think it is nice to share deals we find so we can all get in on them.

And I forgot link in my earlier post I have added it now, but here it is again: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=204649
