It will be a frustrating wait till the next one(s). OTOH if I can just put that out of my mind, I have a good forty or fifty KL discs from all the sales up to now, that need a first watch in the mean time. I need to down shift from "acquisition" to "enjoy" mode more often. |

Another Universal made-for-TV thriller that I want is COMPANIONS IN NIGHTMARE. It contains a score by the great Bernard Herrmann, the only score he ever wrote for a made-for-TV film.

Will you be performing proper QC assessments on all films so that the stretching problem on Blackmail isn't repeated?

Blackmail was a very unusual case. In the first couple of years of sound films the aspect ratio for them was not standardized. Its 1.19:1 aspect ratio was unique among all of Hitchcock's films. |
