If we figure Kino still have about 30-40 titles to announce (possibly more), and they stick to weekend announcements for the foreseeable future, and even then don't always announce something new (like today - we already knew this was coming), it could in theory take them some time to reveal all of these (and given they have a raft of announce titles still to release, I don't imagine there will be any rush). While I imagine they have several irons in the fire regarding new deals, they certainly have enough to be going on with.

Kino's releases of the two Inspector Maigret movies and Emir Kusturica's Underground are also TF1.

On KL's FB page, they mentioned that Indiscretion of an American Wife is from the Disney deal. Anyone know how many unannounced titles are left from that? BarnDoor?

Where does a US-Boy like you know a film called "Adieu Poulet" starring the great Lino Ventura? I´m amazed. |

No, it and ENDLESS NIGHT are the only Bernard Herrmann scores that have never been presented on either LP or CD in any form. Quartet Records is reportedly re-recording ENDLESS NIGHT for CD. The original tracks reportedly ended up as landfill, as a British music company was liquidated and their product was added to landfill for a highway construction project. It's possible that COMPANIONS IN NIGHTMARE, either the film or the music tracks, were lost in the notorious Universal fire of a few years ago. Kino will be releasing ENDLESS NIGHT on Blu-ray and DVD at some future date, possibly in 2020. |

KL Insider? Will the Blu Ray disc be able to watched in a regular Blu Ray player in 2D without out issues (understandably not in 3D)? |

I actually had a question about Long Day's Journey Into Night too. I have never watched a 3D movie on my tv. Do you need glasses to watch this properly or has that technology changed now where I would be able to see the 3D?

The film was an American production, shot in Italy. I'll bet Selznick (now Disney) kept the original negative in LA and cut it to create his butchered version. I'll also bet the longer overseas version has always been created from other elements a generation or more removed, kept in Rome. I'm sure there will be an explanation in the booklet. |
