Stop exaggerating. It's at least 95%.

All I can say is that if this film was made today (well, it kinda was but forget that one), outrage culture would’ve wanted Spacek’s head for not casting a chubby actress.

Eh, there wasn’t much of any outrage over Chloe Grace Moretz playing the role in the 2013 remake, and she’s even more conventionally attractive than Sissy Spacek.

That was in 2013..."outrage culture" wasn't nearly as insane then as it is now.

Where were you? There was a ton of "internet rage" over just that. Go back and read through the old thread. Apparently some idiots think only unattractive people are bullied and were furious that she was chosen for the part.

Moretz was totally miscast in the role but her casting disproves the claim that a "chubby" actress would be cast in the role now. Hollywood hasn't changed in regard to casting attractive actors as characters who are considered less attractive. At best they will make a glamorous star look unattractive via diet and/or make up as was recently the case with Nicole Kidman in Destroyer and Christian Bale in Vice.

I ordered this new from Amazon. Today I received what is probably a resealed used copy with a missing second disc. The first disc was loose and scratched and the case was damaged slightly and wouldn’t close.

My replacement is on its way but it’s really annoying that I have to go and return it. Still kind of surprised I received a product like that from Amazon.

Don't be -- I get repackaged blu-rays from them all the time. Usually, they're still in perfect condition, but every once in a while, there will be damage. One time (I think it was the original Pet Sematary blu-ray), I sent it back several times and got a damaged copy in return each time. I raised such a stink that they gave me a full refund and let me keep the last one. The damage was only to the case and cover, so I just put a new case on it and called it a day. I complained to them for a long time about the practice, but I've given up on it. Of course, for a missing or damaged disc, I'll get a full refund, but I've learned to keep some replacement cases on hand for case damage. I always ask for a partial refund, and I've gotten some pretty good deals.

A local cinema is playing this next month, and I’ll do everything I can to see it. Would the presentation most likely be the 2015 restoration, or is MGM still using the old HD master for their DCP? I’m pretty sure the cable channels are still using the latter.

I wish Shout would release a sweet steenbok for this.

...even though the slipcover art is great.

What’s the point? Arrow’s transfer is superior.

Same point as any steenbok release.

...some people dig the look.

And i think the Shout transfer is great.

Also not everyone owns a region free player.

It’s the same transfer but Arrow’s encode is better.

I ordered the Tremors 4-pack blu-ray from Amazon (with Amazon.com being the seller, but was fulfilled by someone else). Got a blu-ray case with the Tremors 4-pack DVDs inside of it. When they have someone else doing the fulfilling, anything is possible.

Mine was sold and fulfilled by Amazon. That’s why I was so surprised.

Scream Factory’s edition is very nice if you’re region A only, but the Arrow edition is definitely the way to go if you’re region free.
