Dollar Tree Movies

Not sure if these have all been added to the list. I got them from 2 stores. Other stores I checked didn't have any new movies, but I did find a few good movie related books.

Went to a few more stores today while I was out. As usual, found more interesting DVDs than blu-rays. Three of these (Quinceañera, Vixen, Chillerama) are blind buys for me based on comments from this thread. This is likely to be my final haul for this batch.

Upstream Color is definitely an up-north title only. The Sunshine State never got it so that explains why you guys are seeing so many copies. We got excluded!

I got a copy in the Brandon/Tampa area. Never found Kickboxer though.

Out of all the recent titles I've heard about online, Bad Words is the only one that seems remotely interesting. Is that one still being found in stores?

I haven't gotten around to going myself since the store is a little out of the way.

I haven't seen it lately (not that that necessarily means anything), but I have seen it at Big Lots in the past for $3, and it's well worth that IMO. (I paid $5 years ago and don't regret it, and wouldn't have regretted it at $10 either. It's a good movie.)

Hunt 2:

Ah, Universe, once again you humor me, and make me waste a buck. I’ve been looking for Upstream Color on blu. After only coming across the DVD, I decided to buy it because I thought the blu wasn’t going to be in the LA area.

Today is laundry day and there’s a DT around the area my laundry spot is. Well, it was at this DT I found the blu! Unbelievable! I’m assuming it might be rare out here since this is the first store I found it at.

I had to run some errands today, and took the opportunity to pop into a couple of DTs.

The first is the one I hit last time, but skipped yesterday. Still solar lights, no sign of movies except a lone Frank DVD in the aisles.

The other was the first store I went to Friday, and they had the poster up, but basically they just moved the movies from electronics to the bin, including their really old leftovers. No signs of more stock, except I noticed The Purifiers DVD, and that could be from their box of holdovers that I didn't bother going through.

I don't know what is going on, but I have been to three stores here in South Jersey, and none of them have any Blu-ray movies. One store even had a sign up for them, but no product. It's getting sad reading about everyone else's big scores.

I drove about 15 mins out of my way today to go to a DT trying to see if they had put out there stock; however, they didn't put any out.. The girl up front at the register said they didn't get any that it was solar lights.. She also seemed to be more interested in her cell phone than anything else... So I don't really totally believe her..

In case anyone is wondering, here are a list of DVDs with codes I've redeemed and whether they redeem in HD or SD:

- Big Top Scooby Doo: HD (thanks to a generous forum friend!)
- The Flintstones and WWE Stone Age Smackdown: HD
- Aliens Ate My Homework: HD
- The Walk: SD (I redeemed it through VUDU, not MA, in case that makes a difference.)
- Her: HD

Past Waves

- Rookie of the Year: HD (I actually bought this on VUDU a while ago, but bought copies of the DVD later on to give the codes away.)
- The Bounce Back: HD
- Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters: Forgot I still have this to redeem, but I assume HD

Don't be. There are literally no BD's here either which surprised me as well. I also went to 6 stores.

I tested The Walk in MA and it was SD. I tried Vudu since I think some codes maybe get upgraded through Vudu?

The codes from both Percy Jackson DVDs redeemed HD for me.
