Nice experience going to my local DT. I was there a couple days ago when the front display was filled and I grabbed what I wanted. When I went there tonight right before closing it was nearly full again. I found a couple more things and then the guy came up with 3 or 4 more boxes telling me he had more (there might've been more boxes but they were closing so I didn't want to stay around) There wasn't anything great in the boxes but still good to see. Going to try 2 stores tomorrow.

I haven't gotten around to going myself since the store is a little out of the way.
A store that had just put out its new stock had 3 - 4 copies of Bad Words on Blu-ray; so it’s definitely part of this wave.

I visited a couple Dollar Trees throughout the Inland. Seems they let their stock out today. Didn't see anything I was looking for, but I did get Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 4 Volume 1 and Hiroshima DVDs. Really surprised bumping into another WWII film two days straight.

For those in SoCal and are looking for the Upstream Color combo pack; the Montclair store has two copies sitting in front as of tonight.

So, I saw another Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 4 Volume 1 DVD with a Disney "Blu-ray + DVD" sticker on the cover.

Is this a common occurrence in this batch?

Still trying to exchange my UC DVD. I have 3 local stores that haven't put movies out. I'm hoping 1 or 2 puts them out this week. I hate looking at this DVD on my cabinet.

I was thinking of exchanging it for Good Catholic today when I was at a store. The review on here says it's worth of watch. I dig Dr. Cox, and his character seems like an interesting one. Anyone seen it? Hopefully I come across it again.

Speaking of which, just a reminder to everyone to also check .99 cents only stores for movies. They don't get in as many as Dollar Tree but I just picked up Wolf Cop, Batman/Two-Face and Justice League Doom on dvd tonight.

The book is probably very outdated now, but should still be an interesting and insightful read - and it's never been lower than $8.99 on Kindle.
i actually read this book, and I have mixed feelings about it. It did give insight into executive decision-making and personalities, and activist investor campaigns. But I would have liked more insight into how the internal culture at Yahoo curdled.

For instance, the book concludes that Google was never really for sale, but Yahoo blew the chance to buy Facebook, and possibly Youtube. But when Yahoo acquired GeoCities, it went from one of the hottest sites on the web to a property they eventually shuttered without even bothering to see if they could find a buyer.

If Yahoo had actually acquired Google, Facebook, or Youtube, it probably would have run them into the ground, just like GeoCities. But there's no discussion of what happened to GeoCities, or other promising sites Yahoo bought out. The book doesn't mention Carol Bartz's decision to close down del.icio.us, which turned the technorati against her.

But I don't want to accentuate the negative, I did learn things from the book, it's just not the full or definitive story.

I'd recommend http://www.paulgraham.com/yahoo.html, if you haven't read it.

for me: 4/10 It's ok, no howlers, Lifetime movie style; low key, plodding along drama.

The ending could have been better and it was clear that Zero Catholic consultants were involved.

Sadly the trip to my Dollar Tree has only led to blu-rays a couple of times and this was NOT one of them, lol. Picked up Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films because I'm a sucker for film documentaries.

Also in dead trees, I picked up War for the Planet of the Apes: Revelations in paperback which is the prequel to the third movie. Gets great reviews, hopefully it's pretty good.

Saw it only once in the wild. Mines didn't have the sticker, but I'll take a look later to see what's inside.

I was hoping, since I didn't find it at ANY DTs last time that someone would have Burying the Ex, but nope. Did pick up The Layover. It's ok, my wife is aware of my Alexandra Daddario crush. Honestly, I always JUST seem to miss the day these get put out to get good early dibs on things and by day 3 it's just mostly dregs

Speaking of cartoons, do you still need Tyson? If not, it's fine - just LMK. I already have a friend who is looking for it, so I'll just send it to him if you ended up finding it.

Honestly, those people - I may or may not be among them - drive to many different stores on many different days. If you're just sticking to 1-2 stores, you're a whole hell of a lot saner than the rest of us, but you probably won't find as many movies.

Default A few more

Blu-ray

- Evidence [Stephen Moyer] (has this been reported yet?)

DVDs

- Batman vs. Two-Face (gift)
- Ernest Movie Collection: Ernest In The Army / Ernest Goes To Africa / Hey Vern, It's My Family Album
- Who is Clark Rockefeller? (Pretty sure I also have it in this Mill Creek 4-Pack, but it's nice to get it as a standalone Sony DVD)

Still waiting for my useless closest store to put out the movies.

I'm jealous of all the people coming across Mike Tyson Mysteries, still haven't come across one near me (nor all of my contacts)

The only item I was looking forward too!

Anyone know if IMAX Born To Be Wild redeems HD at Vudu? It verifies HD at MA but I prefer redeeming at Vudu.

Also, same question for Tom & Jerry Robin Hood. Both came from DVD.

Jealous of the above. I hit another store during lunch today, but they were pretty wiped. They did have some DVD's I hadn't seen elsewhere, but nothing worth noting...
