I'd appreciate any help in verifying which of the following Dollar Tree Digital Codes work:
Quote:
I think my store had an extra copy of these two: Lola Versus(2012) and Digging Up the Marrow(2014). If I go there tomorrow, I can check to see if they're still available, if you're interested. Last edited by Jar Jar Stinks; 09-23-2019 at 09:00 PM. |

As for Fright Night 2, I didn't redeem the digital copy on disc, but the Ultraviolet code worked fine for me on Vudu and it ports to Movies Anywhere, so it should end up on iTunes if you have it connected to Movies Anywhere I believe. |

They should all work. Some of the Universal codes may need to be redeemed in iTunes as Universal expired some UV codes. Any if the Universal codes that work in Vudu should also work in iTunes as a separate redemption. If you redeem them in Movies Anywhere it will generally kill the dual redemption. Walking with Dinosaurs and Fright Night 2 can both be redeemed through foxredeem.com or Movies Anywhere for an HD copy. The other Digital Copy on Disc titles would need to be redeemed in iTunes and will redeem SD only. |

Reporting from Southern California...
I’m embarrassed to say I hit 13 different stores from Thursday to Saturday. 3 of the stores didn’t have any new stock. My wish list this time around (all DVDs): Mayhem Electric Boogaloo Cheech & Chong: The Animated Movie Mike Tyson Mysteries Guncrazy There were a couple other titles mentioned in this thread that I wouldn’t mind getting (thank you to everyone who reports what they find, by the way), but I had the feeling those were gonna be rare titles that come in every wave where like only one or two people are lucky enough to find. (I’m talking about stuff like Takashi Miike's Zebraman, which I’ve never seen, but would definitely buy if I ever came across it. Last wave was the movie DOPE, which I just knew I wouldn’t find… and didn’t.) Actually, I thought Guncrazy was going to be a long-shot, but I ended up getting it at the first very first store I went to on Friday morning. The movie stars Drew Barrymore and James Le Gros and was directed by Tamra Davis who did Dave Chappelle’s Half-Baked and is written by the same guy who directed Freeway with Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland. Finding it early was a nice surprise but it was sort of bittersweet, since the DVD is full frame. I bought it anyway since it’s only a buck. The rest of my search was for nothing except wasting gas. I have a feeling the titles on my wish list didn’t hit my area or were just in really high demand. Anyways, since I was only looking for DVDs I didn’t scan the blu-rays that much. But I did see the Blu/DVD combo of the much wanted Upstream Color at various stores. (I passed on it since I’m one of the few that didn’t think much of the movie.) My guess is that stores probably got like only 2 copies of the combo pack because I never saw more than that at any one store that I hit early. DVDs that I did see that I don’t recall being mentioned this wave included: Peggy Sue Got Married; Perfect starring John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis and Peter Jackson’s King Kong with a yellow pop art type of cover. (Apologies if they were mentioned.) I saw those titles in more than one store. So that’s it. 13 stores, 1 DVD. Last wave I got three or four titles that I really wanted including Train to Busan and went to way fewer stores. But now that I remember, most of the year I’ve come up empty more times than not. It seems like the titles I really want are not showing up where I live or I’m getting there too late. But like the song says, that's just the way it is. I went by 3 stores on my way home -- two of them had not yet put their stuff out as of this weekend and the third had not yet put all of their stock in the item of the week bin.
The first store I had called this morning and they indicated they had put their stock out and it looked like maybe one person had gone through the 6 boxes before me (the boxes were just opened and put directly in the bin). Maybe 3-4 things had been taken out. The only blurays were Yoga Hosers, Upstream Color, and Red vs. Blue: Season 10 (1-2 copies of each). I grabbed the following DVDs:
I'm not sure if anyone else has reported seeing Scarlett. The second store still had not put their stock in the item of the week bin. They had put out some new looking stuff, but it was in the books section and mixed in with a ton of old stock and very difficult to look through so I just passed on it. The third store had moved their stock to the Item of the Week bin and I think added some additional discs. The bin was 3/4 full. I grabbed Enough Said (bluray) and the Loose Canons / Another You double feature DVD. Still waiting on 3 stores in this area to put out new inventory. |

I had an opportunity this afternoon to revisit one of the stores that hadn't put anything out on Friday. This time, they had the poster up, but still had Halloween stuff in the bin. However, when I checked the aisle, the new movies were in!
Six boxes of DVDs and a box of BDs joined the box of leftovers that had been there before. What's more, it appears that I was probably the first customer to go through them - all of them appeared full. Half of the DVD boxes had white "CHEROKEE DC" stickers on them, the other half orange "COWPENS DC" stickers, as did the Blu box. (My inference is that DC refers to a Dollar Tree distribution center.) I took a picture of the Blu-Ray box. As you can see, there are two of each title, except the last two. The King Of Comedy has been reported for this wave, but not photo-verified on the master list. ![]() At the very top, you can see part of their leftover box, including lingering multiple copies of Decoding Annie Parker. Covered up by the Blu box are at least three copies of The Real Cancun from July. I wasn't going to take pictures of the DVDs, but I noticed something interesting. If you look at a single Dollar Tree box, it looks like they are packed haphazardly and randomly. However, these two CHEROKEE boxes were side-by-side, showing that they not only have the same titles, they are packed in identical order, except 6 Days and Genesis are switched, and at the very end at the right they have a different DVD. ![]() It's obvious that one of these boxes went to one of the stores I went to Friday. Not only are both Blu-Rays in the box (Yoga Hosers and Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V) the ones I ended up getting, some of the DVD titles are distinctive as I was the first to report them (eg, What Richard Did, Divas, Apple of My Eye). Sadly, Upstream Color is DVD, just like the Friday store. I then spotted unreported DVDs in the next two boxes, so another photograph. First, in the bottom box, I saw another American Girl title, fifth from the left. [Edit: Just saw that Hearts of War, four more DVDs to the right, while reported, is not listed as verified.] Then I saw an Octonauts DVD in the top box, at the very left end. ![]() There was nothing remarkable about the other two DVD boxes, so no picture of them. One of them included a Blu Holocene, the other was Bluless. These photos can also be found at https://imgur.com/a/ehKPDwv. I ended up getting About Last Night, Hot Pursuit, S. Darko, and In the Electric Mist. (I got The King of Comedy, Mitty, and Pink Pather 2 in earlier sales.) I also got the 4 Comedy Greats DVD-pack, once I was satisfied that it was four discs, and not some Mill Creek-type cram job. Last edited by Blu Canute; 09-24-2019 at 02:45 AM. Reason: noted previously unverified DVD |

Stopped by the same store I had visited on Friday and Saturday. Sign in front had those Halloween lights as IOTW. Bin up front still had movies. Still a decent selection. Doesn't look like they are selling well or they got a restock of them....
Anyway, picked up a few more titles: ![]() DVD: Katy Perry: Part of me. All Cheerleaders Die. Queens of the Ring You Got Served/ Stomp the Yard (Double Feature). Garlic and Gunpowder Loose Cannons/ Another You (Double Feature). I plan to stop by a different store on Tuesday. |
