Edit: all of the reviews says its great about sticking to the source material, just not very well acted or entertaining (some said one or the other, some said both)

i figured this would be the case. i have yet to see it, but would like to offer some food for thought about these ratings.

-people who are saying its boring. im assuming its because the plot kind of plods along. in the novel, there isn't that much action and what action there is, doesn't usually last too long. if i was walking into a movie theatre thinking i was getting spiderman, superman or batman and i got watchmen, i would say BORING!!!! if you pay close attention, its fascinating, but the problem is you can't just sit there and have mindless entertianment like many superhero movies.

-acting, i heard ackerman sucks, but the rest are all good, silk spectre is not that heavily featured and i don't think she will get that much screen time out of 3 hours.

-then there is everything else, man im expecting to throw up in my mouth a little tonight from what ive read, supposedly its BRUTAL. watchmen will not be a "fun" movie to watch, but it will certainly be worth it. if somebody went in thinking they were going to see 09s Dark Knight, man i could see how they would be semi-disgusted.

when i read reviews, that the reviewer has no clue what he talks about, which makes up a decent chunk of these, i discard them. if there is a poor review and the reviewer makes a case for it not being good i respect that, but when somebody writes

"The Watchmen was boring, there was not that much action and what action there was, was very violent. The director was clearly trying to make a point very early on when he had Roraschase (usually spellled something like this) diss Barack Obama by saying smoothtalkers and liberals.

There was blue pen1s, i don't get it. Why does he not wear any clothes.

I like THe Knight Owl, but we don't know what happens to his dad, the original knight owl, after we see him having a drinking session with his pops early in the movie.

Why is Nixon still president in the 80s, i thought this was supposed to be a realistic superhero movie like the Dark Knight.

i don't respect that at all and there have been some that are close to that bad. one said they didn't have the comedy that was in the comic strip. shoot me.
