Default The Official Martin Logan Speakers Thread

Please discuss your Martin Logan speakers in this thread. You can include pictures, reviews, or any other comments regarding your speakers.

Manufacturer’s Website

ESL Series: http://www.us.martinlogan.com/applic...sl_series.html

Design Series: http://www.us.martinlogan.com/applic...gn_series.html

Could not find a thread for ML speakers so I started this one

Here is a quick shot of my Bi-Amp'ed ML ReQuest powered by a Sunfire TGA7400, you can also see one of my two True Subwoofer Signature EQ subs and some acoustic panels. The center speaker is a ML Cinema i.

I will do some detailed photos in the next few days showing all the gear

i'd try the avsforums. Martin Logans are pretty high-end stuff, you'll find plenty of guys on those boards who are big time audio enthusiasts.

We're mostly entry to mid level around here

Don't tell him that! I love the look of ML speakers, and even though they are way out of my price range, I love to see them set up. Simply beautiful speakers, you must really enjoy the sound.

Speak for yourself!

Ha, I may not have a great setup, but I sure love drooling over other members toys! Sure makes me excited to see what others can do with this home theater setups. Though, it sure makes me jealous!

understood. But the reason for having "official threads" is the ability to share your tweaks/experiences/etc with other Martin Logan owners. It's fine to share his setup with everyone here but I doubt he'll get much response seeing how very little of us have experience with his type of equipment.

I've browsed the speaker section a lot over at avsforums, the range in quality/brands is far greater than this section. Looks like most of us around here stick to paradigm/polk/klipsch mostly.

Just trying to help out OP

Speak for yourself I've demo'd, listened to and currently search for ML's (at my price - you can get a used pair for about a grand but I want the CLS IIZ's at around 1500 if possible - everytime they come up at that price - they dont ship) many people around here have ML's and other high end equipment - the OP can find plenty of help here OP - Welcome!

Very Nice! I also own ML's and a Sony XBR5. You can not beat the sound of ML's, especially for jazz and classical. I have noticed hard rock can sound harsh on them, either that or I have them too loud and I'm to drunk to hear anything. LOL

Too drunk is nothing that can not be overcome by pure power with your amp

There are actually quite a few members with ML's here and I'm sure, in time, they will chime in.

And for the record, I, like many others, don't own any Paradigm/Polk/Klipsch speakers (although I had a beautiful pair of Klipsch Heresy II Signature Editions many year ago.

those are nice ML's, I saw some last night at my BB they had 2 different ones, I played them for my wife, she loved them... they were playing rage against the machine, I killed all the other speakers to listen to them in 2 channel. so nice

Keep posting, I only like the ML above their "design series" therefore above the "source" and "purity" lineup. They make some good stuff, which you have. Speakers look great and keep posting. I love seeing and listening to high end stuff. I actually started a thread a while ago titled dream theatre for those who want to listen what the system the dream about it. Start posting in it and let us know what you love but just can't quite get.

Man, you do us a great disfavor if you do not post pics!!!! I love to see "A-game" systems, something different and not the same ol' same ol! I always demo stuff that I can't afford - why, because it exposes me to the best - then I have a reference point - try to sound as much like this experience as possible within your budget. When the budget gets bigger - I demo more - and go to the next level! Stay with us and share that beautiful system!!!!

The only thing I wish about this system is that those ML's had more room out to the sides to breath!!!! Ahhhhhh!
