This is a new development that should not be hidden away from 3D Bluray connoisseurs. The elimination of imax on Blu-ray Discs (including 3D Discs) in favor of digital suggests Spider-Man Far From Home might be the tip of the iceberg and other 3D movies are likely to follow this pattern including the last 2 Avengers. Not sure many 3D fans would be aware of this vital info and it’s implications for the likelihood of a 3D disc of this (and other) movie with IMAX AR had the news been relegated to a non-3D forum.

Who's hiding anything away? The information is included in the very first post for anyone who wants it and every thread for every film with IMAX scenes is filled with discussion around those scenes. My point is only that one page of chat about how to access 2D content on Fandango is quite sufficient.

It's pretty obvious by now that many in the industry would love it if they didn't have to bother producing discs and could just get us all to pay for digital content that doesn't physically exist, ideally on an ongoing subscription basis so we never really own anything.
