Placed an order for the UK version, hopefully it is available when other copies release from Amazon. Main reason was the box art, like it better than the Aus version. Do have an inquiry to Sanity to see if it is still "to be determined" or if that is the actual art. Amazon UK and Sanity are about the same price shipped.

Almost pulled the pin on the Japanese steel book version. Best art IMO, especially compared to the other steel book designs. Shipped it would be about $85 right now. I'm a fan, but that would push it I think. Kind of surprised they didn't have the 3rd bonus disc some have shown.

Edit: Just got reply from Sanity and that is the correct art for the AUS version. Just fyi.

i think the bonus disc is only with the japanese one that's ~$100 or more. dunno if it's different than the bonus disc that's already out there ("world wide web-slinger" 30 min behind the scenes featurette)

Not sure many 3D fans would be aware of this vital info and it’s implications for the likelihood of a 3D disc of this (and other) movie with IMAX AR had the news been relegated to a non-3D forum.
Who's hiding anything away? The information is included in the very first post for anyone who wants it and every thread for every film with IMAX scenes is filled with discussion around those scenes. My point is only that one page of chat about how to access 2D content on Fandango is quite sufficient.

It's pretty obvious by now that many in the industry would love it if they didn't have to bother producing discs and could just get us all to pay for digital content that doesn't physically exist, ideally on an ongoing subscription basis so we never really own anything.

There's a a thread for discussing 3D movies available digitally and if you want to discuss the impact these services have on 3D Blu-ray sales and marketing generally then I suggest doing it in the appropriate thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=286244

We also have a thread just to discuss Sony's ongoing destruction of their "3D World": https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=313658

Yep, it’s becoming increasingly harder to read my favourite threads without some digital code or digital this and that being mentioned. They seem to be infesting the entire forum.

Sony originally had no intention of releasing the 3D Blu-ray in the UK, so I imagine that they are still playing catch-up.

Yeah. Usually the UK release date has seemed to be about a month behind the US release, so I was hoping that the new Spidey would be out sometime in early November. But now I'm not so sure, because if that was the case, I would hope that an actual date would have been announced by now. Maybe December? Or maybe they'll just surprise us and release it all of a sudden randomly?

I'm just nervous because there wasn't even going to be an official UK release to import and then there was, but until there's a release date I'm still not going to believe it's officially official.

I'm trying to cancel the 4k/3D steelbook from Amazon.de
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But when i go to my orders theres no cancel button... was there a cut off on this release when you can no longer cancel it? I know some releases did but i didnt see that for this one.

Since I ordered this from WeET I dont want to end up paying for this too.

EDIT: Figured it out. I had to cancel it through the contact us page, not sure why there was no option in the orders page.

There is a slip for the edition from India.

How sad, I looked at the first page of this thread and it seems that this film is being released on blu-ray 3D in every other region but the USA...Sony, once the promoter of blu-ray #D thank you so much for your respect of your American customers who bought into 3DS (yes my player is Sony, my TV is the Z9D 75" SONY). thanks for nothing Sony.

I am in the same boat as you, if the UK has a 3D version I usually order it from Amazon UK and skip the other countries, at least the packaging is in English, but no date seems very strange.

Default 3d + atmos + dts-hd 7.1

We had a chance to watch the 3D release the other night, it's A++ !! remarkable 3D effects in many of the scene, one of the best 3D marvel movies imo.

the 3D version only had the DTS-HD 5.1 track. Quick PC remux with the DTS-HD 7.1 from the 2D BD and the ATMOS track from the UHD. It all fit on a 50GB disc so it could have been done from the studios. I still prefer the DTS-HD 7.1 track vs. the ATMOS track on this specific title.

3D fans, high recommend to hunt this one down. 3D is how this movie was meant to be watched.

The first post was updated AFTER the OP informed the board of the imax availability. Without that “OT” post most would not have have had a clue, including yourself.

And a moderator writing “too many OT posts” suggests that they may be deleted/moved (aka hidden).

I concur. The Atmos simply feels “weak” where is should be powerful. The 5.1 upmixed via receiver is much better than the native Atmos.

My 3D order from Rahul that I placed at the beginning of the week on Amazon.com arrived today. Hopefully I'll get to check it out in a bit more detail over the weekend.

Anyone know if the AUS release from Sanity will come with a slip or at least if Australian releases normally do? Never imported from over there. Trying to decide if I should cancel this order and switch to amazon UK or just ride it out. Thanks!

AUS items rarely come with slips at all. It's not zero, but it's very low.

Was hoping to watch my copy tonight from Rahul, but thanks to the lousy post office my package is jumping all around central Florida at the moment! In 2 days it's gone from Orlando to Ybor to Sarasota! If I'm lucky it might arrive tomorrow!

I don't know if it comes with a slip, but I do know the art is the final version if that makes any difference. I haven't gotten any others with a slip from them now that I think about it.
