Didn't sound very much like Bill even wants to be in this business anymore. He needs some new inspiration. The offer of 3yrs worth of meals at Sbarros might have been tempting but he's still not gonna release The Farmer.

He doesn't think it will sell, and he wants a lot of money for the rights?
When the seller is trying to make a deal for more money, he should be hyping the fact that it will sell well, and that's why it will be worth more to licence it.
He is quite the business man.

You keep saying I refused to get in the ring. I have never said any such thing. I asked Dark Force fans for their opinions. I got a lukewarm response. So I'll pose the question again. I'm game if it gets The Farmer released.

I certainly appreciate your willingness to throw down for the sake of THE FARMER, but I believe the general consensus is “What’s the point?” Dave beats you up and then...Dave still can’t obtain the rights from Bill? Wah wah. Save that sweet mug of yours from what would be truly senseless violence.

Another idea on THE FARMER: I'll buy 1000 copies at wholesale.

It's hard to piece together exactly what Bill was getting at during the livestream but, if I am understanding correctly, he is afraid SAG and other groups will come after him because cast and crew are still owed money from the production of the film. I guess, being the rights owner, he would now be responsible for that and wouldn't be able to sell enough copies to offset what he paid for the film itself and to pay all the unions off. Sounds like a hot mess to me.

How about Vinegar Syndrome teaming up with Code Red and Dark Force Entertainment to release the The Farmer on Blu-ray alongside a limited edition UHD, complete with a lenticular glow in the dark slipcase?

This development calls for an emergency livestream...get the Bananaman on the phone or meet him at Sbarro's and do it live from there.

After all of these live stream data points, it would be better to do the live stream during the day instead of late at night. Bill wants to sleep at night.

If Bill is liable as the rights holder he could be sued regardless of whether or not he releases the film. I'm no lawyer, but I'd think there would be a statute of limitations for a film that is over forty years old.

What if The Farmer actually sucks as a movie and, once people realize this, it only sells 300 copies?

I doubt they can sue Bill. Most contracts have a clause that protects the distributor from legal action. The rights seller would be responsible in this case. Besides, most indie filmmakers throughout history get ripped off by distributors. I never got a cent on the first release of a movie I made. If you read Nightmare USA, it's full of filmmakers saying they got ripped off. There is probably a statute of limitations on this sort of thing too.

Mr. Lyons this is Tom the General Manager for Dark Force. Perhaps you would be interested in partaking in the next round of debates scheduled for The Farmer live on Facebook. We could arrange to have you as a phoned in guest participant.

Out with ladies, where else? Campaigning for Iced on a message forum is just his "in-between the ladies" hobby. BTW, I found out that Iced was made for only $10,000. That's like the breakfast catering budget for one day for major studio films lmao. I don't know if I want to watch a film whose budget was so small it probably barely covered the purchase of old film stock. Probably a chore to sit through.
