The Prophecy is under the control of Miramax, or whatever is left of it, which is currently under control of Lionsgate.

The Dead Zone (If SF doesn't get this, I can only assume it's coming from Criterion)
Prophecy (I believe Parts 2 & 3 were through a different studio)
The Ring Trilogy Box Set
The Ruins (I've heard an alternate cut of film exits)
Sleepy Hollow (Could be SF first Tim Burton release)
Stephen King's Graveyard Shift
Tales From The Darkside: The Movie
The Tenant (I'm assuming that Criterion will probably get this eventually)
Vampire In Brooklyn (Wes Craven has not had a SF release in awhile)
What Lies Beneath

Some of these I'm hoping to see released in the year to come......

Some rare ones there that didnt even get a North American DVD release. 2 or 3 had no home video release. Any of these would be great.

Wait...Let's go back to discussing Lawnmower Man 2 for a minute. If this is possible...is everyone in agreement it would be the best Collector's Edition yet?

With Dracula/Prophecy/The Abominable Snowman all coming in a two week span I must be dreaming. I'd have been thrilled to get just one of them. Amazing!

Look, you're a pretty decent fellow and I like some of your posts, but we get it...you want Scream to came to your aid with a T-1000 edition of Nightmare on Elm Street. This thread seriously can't go a couple pages without you and several others carrying on about the possibilities and enchantments of A Nightmare on Elm Street as presented by Scream Factory. And now we have to hear it about Ft13th?

I don't begrudge people for having bucketlists, but damn, must this thread continually get mired in conjecture about what SF could do for good ol' Jason and Freddy?
I get it; I'm of the opinion that every film is at least on one person's favorite films list, and as such, they should all get the best possible treatment (even though I know that economically, it never seems to be feasible enough), so there's a huge amount of merit in making sure plenty of films without Blu-Ray releases (or DVD or VHS releases, for that matter) aren't ignored or forgotten.

That said, many of us in this thread are horror fans (especially 80's horror), and the two biggest franchises from that era are Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. And while both box sets are very good releases, there is room from improvement on both of them where plenty of people would like to see what Scream could do with their own releases, based on their work with the Halloween set. Do I think either release will happen? I don't think it's very likely, although I would have said the same thing years before the Halloween set was released. But it's fun for people to speculate.

Having just watched the uncut version again today, it's incredible how many great and very creative effects were missing. I think the director kept a copy of the cut scenes, otherwise they may have been in limbo somewhere.
It wasn't even Paramount to do it; Lionsgate is the one that released the special edition with the added gore. But I don't really expect Paramount to have kept all the cut footage from these films (they never really had much respect for the franchise, but kept making them since they made plenty of money).

I could see The Dead Zone finally getting released out here. Tales From The Darkside and Vampire In Brooklyn are two other feasible ones.

This one's not horror, but because it's John Carpenter, I fully expect Escape From L.A.: Collector's Edition to get announced.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Scream Factory edition of Rumpelstiltskin (95) which is part of the Republic Pictures library. I do believe Paramount is now the rights holder. However, I could be wrong.

I also wonder if Scream has anything else coming from Sony. I'd still like to see the Fangoria produced Children of the Night (91). Then again maybe Sony or Mill Creek will eventually release it themselves.

Rumplestiltskin would be a very welcomed addition to the line.

Dr. Giggles is in dire need of a proper release. The current Blu-ray is OOP and in the wrong aspect ratio.

Why does Warner Bros. have the current home video rights? Universal released it and had it originally all the way up to DVD!

Dr Giggles was distributed by Universal but produced by Largo Entertainment. After Largo Entertainment dissolved, it's pre-1996 catalog was acquired by Intermedia and then ended up with Alcon Entertainment. Alcon had a distribution deal with Warner and included the Largo titles such as Timecop, Point Break, and Judgment Night.

I would KILL for a Stay Alive blu-ray. I'm not even kidding. That would be a day one preorder. Period. I hope if they do end up releasing it, that they include the director's cut (which I prefer watching)

Dr. Giggles would be most excellent.

I thought Stay Alive was with Disney though? I'd def jump on that one if Scream got their hands on it either way.

And for crying out loud (pun intended), can we get a blu-ray of CRY_WOLF already?

On the topic of '90s horror (and forgive me, I may have asked before but just don't remember the answer), who owns Pinocchio's Revenge? It was originally released by Trimark Pictures.
