I would look at either the Kuro or the Samsung 950 series, I think they are the 2 best TV's on the market at the moment. Receivers, personally I would say anything in the Denon, Pioneer Elite, Sony ES, Yamaha 1900, Marantz, Onkyo 706 or Higher. You should go looking at the TVs and listen to the receivers cause each receiver has their own characteristics.

As far as TV's, I wouldn't worry about room lighting, video gaming, motion blur, IR, all that stuff is overrated, both techs are great.

What Energy setup do you have?
