Truth is we don't need all this shit since we can't take it with us when we die. But none of us are Buddhist Monks, so we enjoy our materialism.

Money is something I'm tight with. I already donated almost $20 in movies from this batch and I've thought, "man, I could have bought something useful with it." And I just don't see the point in collecting movies with no intention to watch. These aren't baseball cards.

Can anyone speak to the quality of it? I mean, I don't see how it's going to compete with the minimalist (read: perfect) fireplace videos already on YouTube.

Into the Storm came with digital as well. One store had two unopened boxes on the floor in the electronics/automotive aisle. I used my car key as a box cutter and opened each up. That was pretty exciting, lol.

Just wondering whether your copy of Everything's gone green works without any issues.

It gives you different audio options. The American one lets you choose "sounds of a crackling fire" or Christmas music. The Canadian one gives you the option of "Holiday Music" or "Soothing Melodies". I assume it has an option of no music as well. Both have lossless audio: DTS HD 5.1. No watermarks. For $1 I definitely think it's superior than watching a YouTube video.

Yep, that's the one. I had to add it to the database. I just finished watching it and I didn't care for it. It's a real downer. It definitely won't be part of my regular Christmas movie rotation in the future. it's only 1 hour and 17 minutes though, so there's that.

I just put it in and it started up and played fine until about 7 minutes in when it started freezing and then jumped 22 minutes ahead. I think I'll just leave it in and let it play out.

Damn that sucks. Ive had that movie for a few years. I saw it before buying it and liked it, but Im not sure if I watched it after buying it. Now I have to go check it.

Edit: I used my PC w VLC and skipped to 7:20ish and it was playing fine.

amen to that...... a couple of years ago I use to sale at swap-meets, bundles of 1,000 cards for $10 - and I was very, very clear that these cards had been well picked through and everything of value had been removed, but I always sold out fast.

Today I don't even want to take the time to deal with any cards.

I have a bunch of non-sports cards I'd like to get rid of. Someday I want to do it, as I have lots of complete sets worth, including some chase and autograph cards. But it can be a lot of work to sort them, and I don't even know what kind of a market there is these days.

I played quite a bit of it last year and don't recall any watermarks whatsoever. I think the music is optional, but played it because it was pleasant. I like playing the fireplace on the TV above the actual fireplace, with both of them on.

The only cards I have are either garbage pail kids or topps return of the jedi cards.

This wave is the gift that keeps on giving...

Blu-rays

- Warm Bodies (which I assumed was not in my region)

DVDs

- The Best of Men
- Dunkirk (BBC)
- A Ghost Story
- Headshot (with slip)
- Je L'aimais (Someone I Loved)
- Starry Night
- Truth

(Starry Night and the Canadian edition of Truth are not in the database.)

Most of these are Canadian editions. Only one copy of each in my store.

I have a good amount too. Used to love to collect them when I was a kid-preteen. I know I have a few Kobe Bryant rookie cards, which are my holy grails. Ken Griffey Jr. rookies and who knows what else.

OG Pokemon was the last thing I collected (up until the second batch of monsters came out). I thought those were gonna be as waste of money when I grew up, but Pokemon is still going strong.
