I don’t understand that. None of my packages fromWOW carry a customs value. If a disc is over £15 they add 20%VAT to the invoice charge.

The first line regards his shipment from WOW. The second line regards his order with Vinegar Syndrome (which he brought up in an earlier post), not from WOW.

Aside for that I've had the odd shipment from WOW with customs value declared on the address sticker, they still sail on through for me.

The US Scarface 4K release is down to £13.54, for those who don't want the crappy UK release with its crappy player generated subtitles, locations, and opening crawl.

Hi. Yes, the price you see is the price you pay. No added tax. Plus if you order 2 titles, you get 15% off too.

Thinking about ordering the Von Sternberg Silents. Approx 60 euro, what are the chances of getting stung by customs?

Absolutely zero, since Wow will charge you the VAT on your order (at least for UK customers).

I’m a Dutch customer so no VAT for me. I’ve ordered couple of times around 22 euros but not for around 60 euros

Should be zero, at least for small items that fit through the mail slot because those are bulkshipped DDP (delivered duty paid) via Spring GDS in the Netherlands.

Better enjoy your last year then, because next the EU abolishes personal import exemption thresholds, and you will all be required to pay the full amount of whatever your VAT-equivalent is on the total amount of any ex-EU purchase you make.

Any chance this won't apply to post-Brexit Britain?

Can anyone clarify if manufactured on demand is the same as burn on demand? I'm looking to buy Mr Nice Guy, I'm fairly sure all Warner archive titles are pressed discs but wowhd states its manufactured on demand. Or could wait and hope it gets a hmv premium release of course but there's no guarantee

Mr Nice Guy is pressed. Their BDs are pressed, with the exception of odd titles like the Paul Robeson Showboat and first runs of multi-disc sets their DVDs are all burned DVD-Rs.

Manufactured on Demand, basically means they press X amount, and press some more when demands requires, it saves them from knocking out 10,000 discs and storing them in a warehouse somewhere. Generally the Archive releases are excellent.
