Nice!

Hopefully The Irishman is not too far behind.

And another Netflix movie available on home video for everyone to see thanks to Criterion!

Incidentally, I would love to see Shout! Factory release Klaus on Blu-ray/DVD next Christmas.

As for The Irishman, my parents LOVED that movie (they manage to see a theatrical screening by one of their friends and saw it again when we gave Netflix a free trial). Should that ever come to home video, I'll definitely consider buying it for them.

That's actually a good idea. Criterion gets the "quality" titles ("The Irishman", "Mudbound" "Dolemite is My Name", etc.) and Shout! gets the more "niche" ones ("Velvet Buzzsaw", "Alex Strangelove", The Babysitter", etc.).

Between this and ROMA, hoping this bodes well for Criterion conceivably releasing MANK at some point after it's released on Netflix - I'd hate to think a David Fincher film wouldn't see a Blu-ray release.

By the way, Sony, we're still waiting on PANIC ROOM getting a Blu...

Amazing news. Would be nice if The Meyerowitz Stories could get a CC release too.

I do hope Netflix makes a deal with another company (like Shout) to release the titles that maybe wouldn’t fit Criterion. The ones I really want are The Babysitter, Okja, and the Mike Flanagan films. I know he’s really pushing to get those out on disc.

I really hope Irishman and Buster Scruggs are coming as well. I had no intention of ever watching this film, but will support this release to keep the Netflix films coming. Plus, Adam Driver was amazing in this.

Baumbuch has worked with Criterion before, and we know Scorcese certainly has with his restored films stuff.

Would love an Irishman Criterion release and even better if it was their first 4K release.

I think the odds are much higher now for this happen, at least on Blu-ray for sure. I still wish someone would simply ask Scorsese if this will get a home release.

I don't own a whole lot of Criterion's stuff but what I have seen they're amazing at what they do. I'm excited for this, it was one of my favorites of 2019.

This is such fantastic news. This was right up there at the top of my favorite films from last year. I'm a very big Baumbach fan to begin with, and huge Scarlett fan. And now, I'm becoming a very big fan of Driver, as well. He was just so engaging and gave such a moving performance here.

And I totally agree with those are hoping for The Irishman next. That would be terrific.

Had a feeling this would happen when ROMA was announced. This is one of my favorites of the year, and I'm so happy and excited to see it coming to fruition.

If there’s a chance of a Baumbach set, I’d be all over that! But at the very least I hope Kicking & Screaming to get a reissue!

Oh, wonderful ...

... now there's something else, which I hadn't honestly considered before, to keep me up at night. Just the thought of such thing, the greatness of such a thing, is enough to keep me from sleeping.
