I'm expecting MBV specs today or tomorrow and then new announcements either all at once on Friday or throughout next week.

If they leave anything until next week I can't imagine Amazon won't have everything up by then. I'd say they're taking a risk as it is tbh.

Then again, maybe they're not bothered by this? After all, it's happened a few times now.

I keep crossing fingers that with Paramount deal we get Graveyard Shift and The Golden Child on Scream Factory. They seem perfect for the line. And Summer School for Shout Select. It's perfect, Shout! You hear me, I'm shouting from the rooftops, give me these movies!

please

I really don't care that they made more, just pointing out how ridiculous it is to call something a limited edition when they've just shown that they'll put out more when it suits them.

Hate to break this to ya, but this practice has been going on for decades.
Fans are happy, scalpers are not.
Would love to see this happen more often, with many different studios.

And you really buy into the whole “Limited Edition” thingie when it’s printed? Lol.
“Limited” is all point of view.

You're not breaking anything to me. It usually doesn't work out well for studios that promote their products as limited and then go back on that, but I guess it doesn't really matter for Shout since the limited edition thing seemed to just be an experiment for them which mostly didn't work.

I'm not saying it caused them to fail, but since they didn't stick with the limited thing they obviously didn't consider it be a success overall.

How could they?
They probably received a lot of requests for it, and calculated expenses on another print run then released it.
I’m sure many fans are happy about.

This isn’t a Nightbreed “limited to 10,000” deal here. It’s just a 2,000 print run now instead of a 1,000 print run. It’s still a limited edition.

I'm really hoping April gives us a least one of the following: The Dead Zone, Tales from the Darkside, Orca, and A Simple Plan.

Sorority House Massacre II or bust. . Haven't we been punished enough, the wait is killing me!

Seriously though I do wish we could at least learn if there are legal issues with that film or if it just hasn't been on their radar. If it's legal issues there likely isn't anything that can be done. If it's considered a lower priority however then I'd be happy to sing its praises from the rooftops to help garner a bit more exposure and prioritization.

Amen, brother. The sequel (and Hard to Die) far far surpass the original SHM.

At this point I just want a decent region A release of The Dead Zone. Come on SF!

Arrow also released The Sender (which is a Paramount title) so it could be possible that Arrow releases it as well.

One of my longtime wants on BD has been Brian Yuzna's "Necronomicon" from 1993. I picked up the Region B French release a while back but just tonight learned that Wicked Media released a 3 disc All Region Mediabook edition of the film this past November. Upon learning of this release I figured I'd likely have missed out as they authored 3 different covers of the release, each limited to 333 copies. The far superior covers B and C have sold out but as of this writing their are 40 copies left of Cover A for anyone looking to obtain a copy of the film (having sold 5 copies, 1 of my own included, in the last few hours). I'd never ordered from Wicked Visions Media until tonight, but I decided to take a chance and the total shipped from Germany was $38.50.

Anyone interested I'd encourage to grab a copy while you can as these likely won't last long nor will they likely see a repressing.

[Show spoiler]

Diabolik has copies of the much nicer looking cover B for sale now.

Tales from the Darkside + Orca, would be great. Double Dip on Orca, with no questions asked.
